Its the same type as a road sign 2 big posts but the frame is galvanised and in between the posts not on the front like a road sign.
I will look into the dibond type and channel to see if i can get anything.

Is it specific channel for dibond or off the shelf at metal suppliers?

    Thanks

Its going on the bottom of a road type sign but fitted in between the two posts I think it will have to be fitted on the top and sides.
I have seen the demo for panatrim but is it good for two way viewing?

Don’t know if this applies or not but I did some prints on hotmark (tshirt stuff very good) with a PC600 and used the clear backing off other tshirt cut stuff (the clear sticky backing) and it ruined the prints overnight. Smudged them all.

Thanks Brushman I will give it try in Signlab . Its just I was reading the Roland manual and it sid that it Had to be enbled in the cutter to get it to print but I think it might be something to do with signlab that it doesn’t do this.
I will give it a go in Signlab anyway.
I’ll get in touch with Print one to see I think they mentioned it to see what the interest would be to start supplying it as far as I understood it.

They are for ATV and Quads and they guys wants them to be permanent ( well for 10 years he said) so I thought that laminating would be the best option, or would they stand up for a few years abuse on these wuthout laminating.

Richard No what you are saying is right it has to be set on the printer as you say I have done so and it doesn’t print the registration marks I will keep trying though.

Outline No it doesn’t have optical alignment . What it does do is once the settings are made on the pinter it prints three registration marks on its own.
You take it out after printing laminate re load set up the first point (You get an adapter in the kit supplied) align the first make it the base point and then do the other two for length and then tell it to cut.

I need to do it for laminating labels for outside use and it isn’t worthwhile if I can’t get it to countour cut after laminating. To time consuming doing it by guillotine.

    Thanks anyway for help.
There was a post on here a few months ago by someone who said they do it all the time on a PC600 I had a look but I will have to look again.

The one in Signlab is pretty good lots of setting you can tweak how accurate amount of colours, line types etc etc (can tell it to merge colours after it has scanned posterised they call it) requires a bit less tweaking than some of the ones I have used.

I feel its got nothing to do with Cadlink. Its the industry as a whole and the ways companies work nowadays.

No stock cuts costs etc etc in all forms. Most businesses are just a shell of there former selves in the new corporate ?>llsh+^it way of running things. I don’t care what any of them say I could guarantee none of them provide the level of service they did 5-10 years ago regardless of any of the tripe they spout.

They spend more time in corporate image being politically correct SAP and all that related hub flub upper management loading more and more on to the lower levels while they spend time in endless managment meetings etc etc most of which are nothing to do with day to day work.

All it does is take money out of the pot.

Something has got to give and at the end of the day its COSTS

Profit disapearing so they cut them more and more hence no printed manuals (Just an example) most of these companies do the same now all you get is a quick installation guide industry wide so don’t moan about just Cadlink not supplying them.

I know because I work in one.

    Goop

my little rant over for the day.

Its there in HTML if you want to print it difference being it costs YOU money to print not them

Magic it is can go over uneven surfaces and is very very bright goes from the shed to me other shed no probs (10, 15 yards) Im sure I could make up a little bracket to lie it onto so it would be of use for this feel a project comin on.

Tryin to figure out what you were doin.
You inlay welded the white letters over the outline giving you a black outline and white letters? Then you took this onto the yellow and inlay welded the letters and outline to the yellow background.
This as far as I can see gives you seperate yellow, black and white.
I did this and had no problems at all with my version I downloaded the update Revision 16 I am on.
I have had the problem with the VEF fonts mentioned above but haven’t tried this solution yet I just choose another font at the time as it wasn’t critical.

I used their clear stuff nice and see thru can get it in different widths 300 I think mine was but I didn’t get a chance to use it someone else did the applying though.
Went on easily and a lot thinner than the clear I use at the moment though there is nothing wrong with it sticks to well to to good at times it seems

Had a problem that last job with it actually sticking to the vinyl it didn’t seem to want to lift it from the backing paper no matter which way I tried it Just about to do another job with it and I shall see if its the same.

    Well here’s my tuppence worth.
Buy a branded name well recognised Roland. Summa Graphtec what ever and buy a 610 (24″) minimum start at around £1200 here in the UK and I feel at this size they are all up to the job of professional work ie yuo get smooth curves (I have a summa D60 and it has 3 settings for curve resolution cuts nice an smooth no steps what so ever and you get an Illustrator add in to cut from there though I have never used it, use signlab)
These are a little more expensive but they will always sell secondhand as well if things don’t work out with it. I feel and most on here will tell you to steer well clear of the Stika and their like though I have never used one but have seen their results (no comment).

You can always buy one secondhand of course but if you buy new you know what you have from the start.

It may seem like a lot of money to cut small decals but you will have the ability to go up to 22″ – 23″ if the need be and tshirt thermal transfer material is a lot cheaper on the roll anyway.

Hope this may help in your descion to buy.

Definitly go for a larger plotter / cutter (you can always use the pen for laying out drawings to paper which might help you on the garment side only guessing at this though but again you have the ability.

Thought V6.1 is the one with the thermal output definitley does edge cause you can choose one in the set up.
Take it in as a jpeg (not the best option png is the best option doesn’t compress and distort the same) or even an eps
When it comes in a black area will cover it put this to the back select both and select clipping (arrange>clipping) drag to the size you want an then print.
This is the simplest way for a quick plot just for a test.
Well I find it easy anyway.

If you have switch it on that gets rid of the jagged edges as far as I’m aware (in other programmes that is)

Previews a host of file types.
.ai and eps need to be in a later version format (5 i think)but it saves a lot of grief
Onlt niggle I have is don’t have hundereds of files in one folder seperate into smaller lots and it doesn’t stall. Pretty memory intensive whigh is understandable but can be dis/re enabled with the click of the mouse.

The Tractor Unit actually won a first prize at the Peterburgh Truck show and to see it for real it is really nice same as the trailer the pictures don’t do it justice here

His opinion was that he didn’t want fonts with Roman style caps or anything like that. He wanted something away from the traditional as he thinks that type of fonts are old fashioned and he wanted to get away from it which I feel he has achieved as it does look really smart in the flesh as it were.

Its just the photo that makes the flags look black Jill it is as you spotted the letters on the compass he put the north and south on back to front the Smith is just an effect of the photo as well.
I take it you don.t like the style of the font then?

As far as I’m aware all he does is fit. This place is producing around 30 fridge vans a week and they have four places one near you one in Ireland and 2 down south bin told they are the biggest manufacturers in Europe alegedly I don’t know if this is true or not.

The owner of the truck doesn’t seem to phased by it not happy but not the screamin ab dabs neither he’s gonna have words wi the salesman apparently who unfortunatley is on holiday while his van is being done

    (chat.) Well find out tomorrow.

    Agree with Brushman.
How many other software suppliers do this service that you suggest Outline.

Your constant slagging of signlab is sounding like a stuck record.

Well I am using Signlab V6.1 revision 16 and I must say whats all the bugs etc etc.
When printing to a PC600 I dont have problems only with colour matching but that seems common with all programs as you never get what you see on screen.

Runs a D60 with no probs even prints to 1290.

I can run really big files through Signlab without a noticable degradation in speed, big bitmaps slow it down but then you can just change the settings.

    Updated faultlessly to no probs

As to the post cant you import from Illustrator save as .eps or .ai and it should come in.
