Does anyone know if SignLab will work on the SX-12?
Posted by esmith321 on October 22, 2004 at 11:54 amHi, we are not to sure which SignLab to get. We have been offered 5 or E6, all we want SignLab for is to produce vinyl letters and graphics. We want to use to on our Roland CX24 but as we are still awaiting this we want to try it out on our Roland Stika SX-12. Does anyone know if SignLab will work on the SX-12?

Hi – Out of the two options I would go for signlab 5. If you are only going to produce vinyl graphics it is the much better option – Signlab 6 was a disaster (I am now using Signlab 7 and it’s much, much better).
I still use version 5 now and again and find it quicker and less complicated than e6, and it hasn’t got the built-in bug infestation.

Cheers Col, any idea about the compatible issue? I think it will work but i just want to know if anyone else thinks so.

Sorry, I don’t know what an SX-12 is to honest – is it like a Johnny Seven?
I think it will be compatible but it’s worth asking -
You shouldn’t have any problems running the Stika from Signlab 5 or 6.

Yes Peter, an upgrade from Signlab 6.1 Colourmaster to Signlab 7.0 Print & Cut is £250 as well.
