advice please looking for masking vinyl?
Hi all,
The good lady indoors is a bit of a budding air-brush artist…. she has just spent all her pocket money on a load of gear that included some small paint masks. These looked very much like etched or frosted effect vinyl, but were very low tack, unlike the traditional vinyl gear. Has anyone got any ideas what this may be? or where I could get something like it? 😕
Potential to score mega brownie points if I can make her masks in-house! :clap2: ……. and save the wallet from global melt-down! 😥
I have got some of the MacMask green gear but the adhesive is a little to strong for this application.

…sounds like regular MacMask to me (which I don’t like)
I use Cal-Mask from Calon/Arlon….cuts and weeds well,
with no adhesive reaction problems like I got with the Mac.

the other week i got some from Europoint, very good and seemed very low tack to me.

as mort said it’s called paint mask from europoint!! 😛
i think other company’s do a similar line!!i also learnt about it from here!! 😀 😀

Many Thanks to John, it was EXACTLY the stuff I was after, that was the good news, bad news is I cant find out where it came from!!!
anyone got any ideas how to track down a vinyl with no markings on either the backing paper or tube!!! 😥
