    Hi

    Have a look at Boldscan. 0800 298 38 38 or http://www.boldscan.com

    Good prices & delivery.

Use only banner vinyl – Oracal 451 series or the like.

    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Lee 😀

    Hi,

We use MacSoft Vinyl for our banners. Always does the business for us. Only problem with the banner stuff seems to be its fantastic ability to stick to anything like the proverbial to a blanket, so keep a tight grip on it and only let it go where you actually want it to end up!

Being a real novice type newbie though, thats probably down to our technique! Still, who dares wins!!!! :lol1:

Our supplier is Sign Trade Supplies in Kent 01622 689410, do an ace delivery for a tenner and the staff are really helpful. Their banners at that size are around the £19.00 mark plust the dreaded!

    (:)

i agree the mactac stuff is VERY sticky, but at the end of the day, thats what you want.. 😉 it is pretty tricky to apply, thats goes for most banner grade materials.
i have always been a user of mactac products. i rate them very good, i also use the 451 oracal banner matreial..

for banner supplies i use beta-banners, price and delivery are second to none, for a small outfit they cater for their customers well.. well worth a try! 😉

im in the same position, about to attempt my first banner.. (this is the first banner ive been asked to do in the 4 years ive been vinyl cutting)

so is it best to do these dry or wet when applying the vinyl?? i could probably get away with doing something this size dry.. but only just and only on a good day.

We are new too… but have done around 7 banners… all 7ft x 3ft. We got the banners for about £14 from a local supplier and used MACTAC banner vinyl. Applying it dry we didn’t seem to have too many problems.

We have also just been doing a van using MACTAC 9800 vinyl (I think?) and our biggest problem there was bubbles… we just can’t seem to get rid of them and even though you seem to have none, when you remove the application tape they seem to appear.

For the above have you tried the Hinge method posted elsewhere in the forum. I use it most of the time as I end up fitting on my own and can’t seem to do it any other way when your on your todd.

Also did you try it in direct sunlight eccelent recipe for bubbles as I found out one day. Sun came out strong halfway through a large decal (black underlay) and man it just exploded had to make a new one.

    Goop
