Ewan, you had a busy week working which is a plus for you but we have people calling everyday asking for quotes and if we have used machines for sale, I did tell you that I knew where this printer came from and how well it had been maintained by the owner
Regards
Nigel -
Ewan I gave you all the info regarding this printer including the fact that it was only 3 years old and had been under Roland care for the three years and was in tip top condition, we like most dealers will have a long list of people wanting a good used machine and therefore offer them on a first come first served basis.
Ewan you told me you would confirm your purchase over a week ago once the weekend was over, you didn’t so this printer was still available, someone took the deal and you lost out and now we are the bad guys ????
Peter why would you lose confidence in any company if they gave you an honest opinion rather than just try to sell you something and not care, your purchase was fully refunded………..shouldn’t you feel more confident in dealing with a company who does this ?

I agree with what you say Phill regarding a premium rate, but I think next day delivery should be forgotten and just have a 2 day or 3 day service.

Not sure why the Jaguar doesn’t seem robust enough, there are original Jaguars out there still running well past 10 yrs of use.

This is where it can all go t**s up, I’m 34 pts off the top of the Sun’s predictor competition, #759 at the moment so not too shabby considering I was outside the top 51,000 before the knockout stages.
I think Germany will be too strong now Brazil are missing two major players, and the Argies will just have one trick too many for the Dutch.

The ADL range have been a little hit and miss, by this I mean we ordered 8 of the 1600C and 8 of the 1600 H1, the 1600C have had mechanical issues which are been resolved by ADL and without question or hesitation on their behalf.
The 1600 H1 however have apart from one faulty control panel been a huge hit and now we are just waiting for our next shipment of 21 units to arrive.

Paul the TTD application tape is sold in the same sizes as the t-shirt vinyl, the TTD is re-usable for several applications until too many fibres from previous garment applications have surrendered the adhesion into submission…..sadly the TTD has to be let go at this point 🙁

MemberApril 22, 2014 at 9:03 am in reply to: Roland estimated Ink Consumption help please?Chris,
If you are still using the original set of inks that came with your BN-20 then roughly half of the 220ml cart would have been used just by charging the printer during it’s set-up. As for the waste tank then yes the first one does fill up quicker as the ink lines would have flushed prior to adding any ink.

MemberSeptember 16, 2013 at 10:49 am in reply to: Which brand for coloured cast in terms of colour rangeAdil just to set you straight regarding the vinyl used on the wrap course, our wrap vinyl is a two part film, cast vinyl and cast laminate, so whether you used a printed cast vinyl or just a coloured cast vinyl then both films would have been laminated at 90c temp prior to use, hence we didn’t just use a coloured cast vinyl that hadn’t been laminated as it is not strictly referred to as a wrap film these days.
I will pass on your remarks to James, it could be worthwhile showing the differences regarding initial tack between a cast film and a wrap film.

Do a test cut across the full width of your cutter, perhaps the cutting strip is damaged or seated higher along the part of the width and so reducing distance between vinyl and blade.

Matt, heat press machines there are so many out their to choose from and you will find most will do the job no problem at all……….at first, the main pitfalls on a heat press poor heating element design and quality, lesser spec of materials used for the platens so overtime the cheaper presses platens will distort, and finally support and warranty.

Shameful really.I’d get a full refund, never darken their doorstep again & use Nikkalite from victory design in future.
Gwaredd as stated by Lee this reflective is sitting on other vinyls from different manufacturers, without testing this vinyl on its own how can you be so certain it is faulty???
At least give us the time to test samples before donning the black cap!

MemberJanuary 3, 2013 at 8:04 pm in reply to: Problems with commercial reflective vinyl?Lee until we can get a sample of the reflective you have there to test against other rolls we have in stock then how can we guarantee the same will not happen again, if it is a bad batch we need to compare first of all before we can replace.
I understand you are sending a sample piece back to us now, when we receive it then we will test it against a sample from every other roll we have in stock.

Sounds like you don’t have the blade holder sitting correctly, when you open the clasp that the blade holder sits in you will notice a groove on the inside of the clasp, on the blade holder you will have about halfway along a wider thin part, bit like a metal washer, this sits inside the groove.

Hello Gordon,
It is a re-badged Roland, a couple of things you need to check, what inks is this printer set up to use, genuine Roland inks or third party inks. What RIP comes with the printer, is it VersaWorks or another RIP. Will the seller buy inks to show you this printer doing what it is supposed to do……….print !!!
If it requires print heads and you can buy the printer cheap enough then it might be worthwhile but it all comes down to what the asking price is and your budget.
Regards
Nigel -
Any waterproof garment would need the nylon extra material, as the adhesive is designed to sit on top of the waterproof coating.

What would you learn well it is hard to say because you will take from the seminar what you want to take………..but………..
At least 6 or 7 different vinyls for vinyl cutters and the same for inkjet printers, ways to combine several vinyls together to get amazing finishes rather than just standard one colour flat designs…….put it this way, neoprene diving suits, leather jackets, handbags, footwear are all items among many that you would not normally think of for textile vinyl application.
And if that is not enough I will even serve you drinks when thirsty 🙂

Jason do a few shirts with the same design for your customer FOC, you just might open up another revenue stream from the same client, great design btw 🙂
-
Take your pick, Roland, Mutoh, Mimaki etc for solvent / eco solvent print & cut models or just straight forward printers, then you have the HP latex printers, will all come down to budget, floor space and support.
Nigel
-
Wayne you can buy new printers from 5k to 10k so if your budget falls within these figures then a fair few used printers will be well with your scope too.
If you are considering doing larger jobs such as vehicle wraps then at least a 54" printer will be what you need to look at, for indoor and outdoor work then a solvent or the newer eco solvent printers will be the choice for you.
