Dewi the old emanating lights, yep one of the dozen monkeys actually silent ninja style managed to land a near death blow to me old dome, so the lights you see forthcoming from me old ead are cracks in the otherwise impregnable dome.
Only ninja style monkeys can do this…..unless you press L1,L2,R1,triangle,triangle,up,up,left,circle,cross 😀

Now bear with me but I’m not a signmaker but when I first read “a man eating a burger” I misread it as “a man-eating burger”.
So without knowing your customer or the size of his ahem portions, maybe “a man-eating burger” slant might just make his shop and sign a little different at the same time saying that you get more butty for your money.
Hope you get what I meant 😕

Go onto the N.E.C. website find the forthcoming exhibitions bit and then look up the exhibitors list, this should tell you what companies are going to be there and also should give some idea of what they will be exhibiting.
Hey Paul R, jus noticed the dog eyes on your avatar………funniest thing I’ve seen today………….

MemberFebruary 24, 2005 at 6:45 pm in reply to: are there any roland engineers available in scotland?Might be worth a try ringing L.S.U. on 0191 386 5222, they use to supply Roland kit not so long ago so might have a few numbers you could try.
They’re not based in Scotland but are in County Durham and I know they do deal over the border. Ask for Simon, Anne or Ernest and just mention that I (Nigel) gave you their number.
Good Luck

See that Camilla has had a face lift then………

Hi Carrie,
5 mins to clear the stand, could do with you at the end of the show on Thursday.Mind you after 5 mins work we would spend 3 hrs trying to get off the car park, I reckon I might just have to insist on a hours lunch break to meet everyone at the bar.
-
Cheers Dewi, see you there
-
Dewi the stand is D10, wouldn’t mind joining up in the bar if I could trust myself to come out again. (drink1)
Jobe

As it’s seems everyone is going to be in the bar if you just appen to pass our stand drop a beer off, three days on me tootsies ain’t easy.

Go with what Cheryl says, ask before you lift a finger tomorrow, if you wait until the end of the day then he will have no reason to pay you because you’ve done the work and he can fob you off again.
That’s my tuppence worth.

Any laser printer would be ok but the Oki C5200N & the earlier model C5100N do seem to be the ones aimed at the number plate market.
Without software pay no more than £690 for the printer, with software anything from £1,000 upwards.
Cheerio

Rob,
Fair enough I understand why this post was moved to this forum but it did start off I would have thought in the General Topic forum correctly as I was just asking a question regarding ways of opening a particular type of file and not directly after file swapping.
But why has my e-mail address been taken out?
Nige
-
Darryl the reason behind the question is that a customer has sent me a plt file and I do not have any software that appears to open it.
Oh Nigel what software will you be using to open this file?
Thanks
Nige(admin-edit) file swapping or file requests must only be done in file swapping forum.

MemberFebruary 9, 2005 at 3:30 pm in reply to: can i remove t-shirt lettering from garment?Just to iron out if you like a few ???? about Grafiflex PU.
You can iron directly over this material but it does have limitations, i.e. if the temp of the iron is over 60 degrees C then you will damage the PU material.
Hope this has helped.

Worth a visit to http://www.doxdesk.com once home page has loaded look at the list down the left hand side and click on Parasites, while this page loads your pc gets scanned for nasties.
Also if you can find this site merjin.org, this is a good site with sound information about all the new virus etc going, only bad point this site does move to mirrored sites now and then because of all the virus writers keep trying to take it down.
Jus remember I’ts a war out there, keep ya head down an hold onto ya valuables.

Rob,
you are correct we do distribute VMPRO for Future Corp, and demo disks are available direct from ourselves, just let me know if anyone wants one.

If I knew how the quote thingy worked then it would be here.
Rob you said “see you at the next meet”
Whoa hang on a mo, firstly three things.
1. when
2. where
3. will alcohol be available in mind numbingly quantities.
-
I was going to reply to both of you Carrie n Dewi but thought better of it as Rob would have been proven right, addicted me never.
” Hello reception, cancel all calls I’m busy for the rest of the week”
So there you go, I have not replied and so not addicted. 😮

Just been testing the water Rob and now I have a identified a fair amount of crazies on the boards that I’m starting to feel at home.
Just for the record Debee is still on the .net but then again she is kicking back in France and reading every post I make as my email will bear out.
😛 😛 -
This has to be one of the best threads ever……..the drama, suspense, would the evil .net get away with it’s cunning plan or would super agent .com come to the rescue and save Robs bacon / breezer.
With the final twist of Pete and would he finally be able to reach the land of.com or be stuck forever in the twilight zone of .net
Cannot wait for the Jonathan Woss weview.
😀 😀 😀 😀
-
😛 Normal service has been resumed here in Tamworth, Staffs.
No more .net ………..bad bad .net………it just was’nt the same
-
Right then now there are two photo’s I think it is my duty to not keep one for myself but request that both be shown right here for everyone to enjoy……..or not whichever may be the case.
-
Just noticed the signed photo bit, if you get the led sign from the link I gave then I will hold you to the photo.
-

MemberNovember 26, 2004 at 3:53 pm in reply to: can anyone help with cutting problem and a Stika SX12?Have to agree with Chris, it does not sound like motor or belt problem, the first things I would check would be blade holder, would have thought that Roland would have checked the loom (this is the connection between main board and head carriage) because if this is breaking down then it would give problems when cutting, not all the time at first but gradually getting more frequent until it finally breaks down.

MemberNovember 26, 2004 at 3:22 pm in reply to: can anyone help with cutting problem and a Stika SX12?Hello Andy,
Don’t deal with Stikas but most vinyl cutters all run along the same mechanical lines, if you do the same job over and over do you get the judder and shift in the same place or is it random.
-
Hello John,
If you need any help with the Jaguar 101 then let me know.
-
Just copy an paste straight from the boards, then you will have a sure fire winner.
Nuff said
-
We use to deal with these laminators supplied through GMP, two years ago they used to be at £3000 plus.
-
Peter the Jaguar replaced the Ultra just over two years ago, neither machine is rebranded they all come from the same manufacturer, the machine for £999 is the entry level Puma range again from GCC
-
Hello Tony,
Tried phoning but got your answer machine, if you can contact me then I will get the profiles you need for the media you are using.

I can think of several ways to mark these diaries but none of them would be any easier and certainly not quicker than having them done on a laser.
If you decide you may want to get a quote from someone who uses a laser engraver then I will be happy to give contacts.
-
How many diaries are we talking about, if you want I could put you in touch with signshops who have a laser engraver so that you could get a quote for the work.

“I’ve heard of flies in yer teeth……but this is taking the p**s”
-
Dave,
Just to let you know that the PU Flex should be applied using a heatpress as you would normally. The application temperature is slightly lower than normal flex, you need around 155 deg of temp for 15 seconds.
Where the iron comes in is that you can iron directly over this material without it melting not like the normal flex where you need to turn the garment inside out prior to ironing and then wearing down the disco.
Regards
Nigel
-
James,
You said you used our material (CC210) actual ref, but you did not mention what printer you are using, if you let me know exactly what was involved to cause your printer to breakdown then maybe we could help find out why.
