Just spent the day fixing letters and plaques to the Liberty Stadium and the BBC were filming me fitting the plaques for an article on the 100 years of the Swans. It will be going out on S4C at 7,30pm tonight and should air my bit around 15 minutes into the program. 😀 😀 😀 😀

I’ll put some pics up tomorrow.

Well Mike, you got more air time than I did when I was filmed at a butchers shop putting up some window graphics for the 1998 world scotch pie champion. 😕

They will announce 10 new names every year, but will only update the plaques every 2 years. This will make the layout better as there are 4 plaques per brick. There will eventually be 100 plaques put there over the next 8 years. Each line represents a year ie the top line is 2011 and the next line is 2012

Having problems uploading pics, too big, hurumph!

The bronze head was not made by me and has been there a few years. Whoever fixed it in place should have gone to Specsavers. And I had to move the stone plaque. It took me an hour to chisel it off the wall as it had been epoxied on. Luckily no damage to the wall.

This is Keith Walker fitting his own plaque.

Was Keith too mean to pay you to do it then? 🙁

amazingly, the BBC were in our place for over two hours filming for a documentary on my brother.

he also told me they spent 3 days filming his every move in Italy.

We watched it just recently and although the documentary included about 15 minutes of him and his work, there was less than 3 seconds of our footage used, and about 10 seconds of him being followed in Italy. bizarre costs!

They were there for a good 2.5 hours and filmed my every move. And the footage of Kieth wasn’t used at all. While they were filming him was the only chance I had to take a few pics.

    LOL, Mike,

I see you took your bestest toolbox to site for the camera 😀 😀

Why do we sigwriters carry our tools in cardboard boxes, and use milk crated to stand/sit on, is beyond me.

Oh, sorry, I use empty beer crates :lol1:

    Well done Mike…..good looking job

now I know why you were after those screws a few weeks ago and very glad the screwdriver didnt slip and scratch a plaque whilst the cameras were rolling.

I really would have like to have seen several cones around your step ladders while you were working and hope you weren’t up there for more than 20 minutes without a break… a hard hat wouldn’t have gone a miss either..
