is it saying time for Maintenance? or is it literally stuck in a cleaning cycle?
If it’s saying time for maintenance , you can bypass this by pressing Enter.
but i would do a cleaning cycle on it. hold down the cleaning button while turning it on and that will go throughteh process for you.
if it’s stuck i’m not sure what to do? poss turn it off at the plug for 30 secs and reboot it…….

I have this problem every now and then, what i do is clear space on my HD, then re-rip it, then it normally works ok.
I think it is def a memory prob where the machine doesn’t have enough memory to rip properly.
-
Nice one Dave
but it will happen again in 3006 🙂 but none of us will be here to witness it 🙁

Thanks for the reply Warrick
Good points there but
quote :Where as if you only have an 800mm machine you are limited to this size. What if we only have the funds or room for a 800mm machine?
-
Hi Warrick
quick question for you. as there are a large number of 760mm wide machines over here will you be making a model to acomodate them?
-
I too looke dat the Ezy Taper and it isn’t the price thta puts me off as such it’s the size of the machine. I have a 760mm cadet so a 610 is too small and the next size up is way too big.
So i’m still on the lookout…
-
Very sorry and shocked to hear that Nobby. I hope they all come home soon. and my heart goes out to you and your family …

MemberNovember 18, 2005 at 2:41 pm in reply to: laminating by hand-how difficult is it?Hi John
yep thst easy on straightforward shapes, but if it’s multiples or complex shapes there is nothing quite like print now cut later 🙂
-

MemberNovember 18, 2005 at 2:25 pm in reply to: laminating by hand-how difficult is it?yes John,
i use a water and baby shampoo mix. but and i stress this i don’t trust it to stay in panels. i only do it for flat panel work.
the 1 main problem i do find sometimes in if you get it to wet and the backing paper curls it can be a pain to then re-feed into my cadet and cut.

MemberNovember 18, 2005 at 8:59 am in reply to: laminating by hand-how difficult is it?atm yes. but i dont do any recess work with it as i dont trust it to stay.
any recess work i get another company a few miles away to put it through their machine.

MemberNovember 17, 2005 at 4:58 pm in reply to: laminating by hand-how difficult is it?Hi Lorraine
I lam by hand for flat panel work as i can’t afford a laminator yet.
the main problem i have is sometimes the print goes milky in places, but it does dry out after a couple of days.
since i started using J&J baby shampoo it isn’t as bad.

Hi Dave
Just finished printing as i read this, i saved as postscript 3 and it printed fine 🙂 so happy bunny now , and thanks for the arrow tip that worked a treet, using that for the next one.
i did try saving as a tiff but it wouldn’t let me go the whole length it sqaushed it. and i cant save as a pdf the option isn’t there.thanks for you help it seems ok now.
-
Hi Phill
checked that first and def havn’t.
just re ripping as post script 3 and going to try that.
-
Hi Dave
The print head stops in it’s start position, the print edge is crisp as if that is where it should have ended, and the machine then inches out to the end.
i have found a thread that said in corel 12 save as postscript 3 so i’m trying that as i was saving in 2.
also what is wierd, when i save as a eps i have a arrow with a boarder, the black inside part of the arrow has a nice sharp point , but the outise boarder has the end cut off. in corel it looks fine but ones ripped it isn’t
any ideas?
