Coach signage: carbrook coaches
I was approached by a coach company last week to help him out to sign a new coach before it went out on a large job tomorrow. His regular sign shop was too busy and could not make the deadline.
He was recommended by another coach client, and I had been trying to get his business for a year or two anyway.
He met me onsite, and showed me all his buses, and no two signs were the same. The other shop airbrushes the red over the yellow, but clearly, it must have depended who was doing them at the time, as most were different, albeit in minor ways. When the fleet is together tho, it really was noticeable.
I took a leaf out of phills recent post with the digital print and cut that he did, and decided to go the same route.
It was a pretty simple job in the end, but the client was really happy that my fade was consistant on each sign.
I printed the lot in 3551, and laminated it with 215 gloss.
Client rang me last night and asked me to do 4 more buses. Told him I was really busy and that I only fitted that one in as a favour. He said he’d wait.
As he hung up, he told me that I was half the price of the other bloke. I didn’t go in cheap, so the other bloke must have been making a killing
