Hi,
When it crashes is the PC still working or has the entire PC froze, if it has froze, big pixels may be a sign of the graphic card on its way out.

MemberApril 21, 2012 at 6:48 am in reply to: number plate making equipment set up advice neededHi,
Just had a look at this again and I was told by the DVLA when the new law came in it was illegal to supply anything that looks like a number plate even for example a number plate with a name on it to put on a kids bedroom door.
Had a read through the following DVLA web info and now, confused dot com on if you are legally allowed to supply a number plate look alike i.e a show plate, as a kids bedroom door name plate, could be a show plate and if you supply a show plate with ESCORT on it is that illegal?

MemberApril 10, 2012 at 5:53 pm in reply to: number plate making equipment set up advice neededBe careful as show plates are illegal.
Anything that looks like a number plate must be a number plate (even names for doors) this is what I have been told by the DVLA and should have the supporting docs.
We use the oki for plates and works well.

Hi David,
Thanks for the info, just a hard one to price as the jobs are all over the county.
Plus you never know how long a hole will take.I will need to hire or buy a CAT plus travel time etc. It has taken me 2 days so far just to survey the jobs.
Material prices are fine just mark up. But I don’t want the labor to seem expensive, and I don’t want to work for a week or so for nought.
Dose anyone have a fixed price system for hole digging etc?

open the command prompt
type ipconfigand that will tell you the network range and subnet mask you are in just pick a high number for the last number of the address.
Ian
-
Hi,
set the network address on the printer to a static address in the range you are using. then set the subnet mask to the same one your network is on.
example
network 192.168.1.111
sub 255.255.255.0then add a network printer and in the search box the printer should be listed.

Artwork supplied ready to print best quality print.
What is the average rate for per sq m of print charged ?
I’m very new to print prices as I am trying to get some customers on board before I buy a printer. I am buying in the print at the moment.

I was just interested if anyone has built one.
I have no mac software all windows based. all the software is running on my other PC in windows 7 64bit pro.
I have asked vinyl master and I can have one PC with the registered software on it for cutting and a demo on another PC at home to just design, the demo will not cut.
Corel x5 works fine on win 7 64bit.

MemberDecember 17, 2011 at 11:32 am in reply to: What certificates or approvals do you need to work on roadsHi,
Thanks for the reply.
I have been searching and the full blown requirements are a "Street works Registration Card" I have done the location of underground apps and the signing and lighting courses years ago but looks as if everything has changed again.
The full flown "Street works Registration Card" seems to have loads of things I would not need.
Phone call to the council Monday I think. But if anyone knows pleas help.
Its for fitting roundabout signs so no traffic lights needed or obstruction of the highway.
Thanks all.

MemberDecember 12, 2011 at 8:52 pm in reply to: Insurance to drive customers vehicles who do you use?Hi,
I used tradex in the past many moons ago. Trader policy’s sometimes have a clause in them that you are not covered within 400m of your premises. So I was told today.
So you still need separate insurance for customer vehicles on your premises.
