We currently use Tradex but are going to shop around at the renewal in February as been with them for years, interesting fact with them as well is if you let your policy lapse and then phone up for a quote they cant honour your renewal price but in our experience you get a cheaper quote as you are classed as a new customer, talk about dont look after your existing customers. From memory we pay around £650.00 a year at present. Our liability, buildings and contents etc is a separate policy, so hopefully getting a full package will be cheaper overall.
Going to try Sign Elite as advertised on here, can anyone vouch for how good they are?

Hi,
I used tradex in the past many moons ago. Trader policy’s sometimes have a clause in them that you are not covered within 400m of your premises. So I was told today.
So you still need separate insurance for customer vehicles on your premises.

I just renewed my commercial and public insurance. Went through Blackstone, they actually came out to do a site inspection etc, so I know I am correctly covered.
I know they like insuring printers for some reason?

I have been insured with MMA for more than 10 years now and this covers me to drive customers vehicles. However, come renewal time I will be looking for alternative cover.
Last year my van was written off (not our fault – the blame was apportioned 100% to the other drivers insurance) – and the problems I had getting MMA to sort out my claim were shocking.
I well recall Peter Normington cautioning me about placing too much faith in an insurance company to cover all eventualities which was good advice.
I have no hesitation in Not recommending MMA to handle any claim yet alone one that I was responsible for causing!
Buyer beware 😕

After inquiring 2 months ago, for cover to drive customers vans, i.e. Trader Policy i was informed by my broker that as I advertise signs as well as vehicle graphics the trader policy would not cover me as its origin was for vehicle traders only. 😕
Regards
Roy.
