    Hi all

Just taken delivery my new work bench, for some odd reason its got a roller thingy stuck on the top!

Ok, its our new Rapid Applicator. Massively bigger in the flesh than reading the sizes in the brochure.

We’d laid down 13 big prints onto clear acrylic panels within about 30 minutes of it coming off the wagon, the finish was superb – no silvering, which for dry mount on the reverse of clear acrylic is pretty darned good.

Big, heavy, solid tank of a table. Was a little nervous watching the fork truck taking it off the wagon.

Will post further updates as we start to use it.

    Cheers
    Macky

I could’ve made you one at a fraction of the price using some mdf, vinyl roll cardboard centres cores and some sticky backed plastic 😕

    Phil

You know we were actually considering trying to make one at an early point. If we had the time and tooling we’d have had a go.

Didn’t you make your own CNC Router once? – I reckon what with that and a flatbed applicator you’ve got the makings of your next book !!

I’d love a unit big enough for one!

Must admit I run everything I can through my laminator. You get a fantastic finish. You can clearly tell those I’ve done by hand. I am rubbish with a squeegie!

That must double up as an air hockey table at lunch times.

Great bit of kit and as jealous as everyone else

    Hi all

I’ll post some more piccies later but we are very happy. A very simple piece of kit. nothing exotic or rocket science about it at all – just does what it says on the tin etc.

We mounted 27 lots of 8*4 prints (unlaminated so thin and floppy) onto 4mm correx boards in under an hour with not a single wrinkle, bubble, squeegee scuff mark etc. OK all the prints were pre-cut to size and the correx was pre cleaned but for pure mounting speed that was quick.

    Cheers
