10 Years of UKSB
Posted by Phill Fenton on December 22, 2011 at 11:27 amI would like to congratulate Rob for having achieved 10 years of UKSB and UKSG. I joined in April 2002 a few months after the forum was first launched and I have found it to be an fantastic resource that has aided my business in many ways over the years. Thanks also to all the many friends I have made from the group not forgetting of course the late John Childs who was associated with the group almost from the very beginning and who is still sadly missed.
Well done Rob – here’s to the next 10 years 😀

10 years of bringing a great resource of information to the sign industry.
Well done Rob and like it’s already been said here’s to another 10 years mate. 😉 -
Although Im not in the sign business this forum has often helped me in my hour of need. Usually with Corel Draw or plotter/cutter problems.
Thanks Rob and heres to the next 10 years.

Congratulation and well done Rob.
What still amazes me is how this forum stems the ageing process. Funny that!!
I too have made many new friends thanks to the site so to the next 10 years I will drink a toast tonight. Any excuse aye 😀 -
I echo all that has been said, there are others out there but none that benefit business as much as this one which at the end of the day is why we are here. Making and meeting new friends is an added bonus and I will raise a glass to all of them over the festive break.
Thanks Rob
Cheers

I and my business have benefitted almost daily from the information I have gained from the tutorials and members of the boards, let alone the friends made, and the sociability from the annual Sign UK, or whatever it is called now, let alone friends who have taken the trouble to visit us over the past few years at the pub, notably the late lamented John Childs, who I am honoured to have benefitted from sharing his wisdom and experience in the sign world, and life in general, and Lynn and Peter N, and their HUGE GD’s!
Thanks Rob, for creating what has become my sign bible-I don’t need any other!

I have certainley found it a most useful forum, and sometimes the people can be quite nice LOL

A decade of excellence indeed. Congratulations to Rob and all the contributors for making this a top notch site.

All I can do is agree with all the above comments & congratulate Robert on 10 years of UKSB.

Good on Phill for highlighting this – I pop on most days to see what’s going on in the industry I love (may be seen as sad but there you go)…Rob has put the foundations in place and continues to develop this great site in a positive way but like all resources it only works if other contribute…so here’s to all you guys as well 😀

For some reason I cannot keep away, for many years this illness has kept me coming back to see what the latest gossip is. I have also met some good people here.
I blame you Rob…. 10 years… thank you very much 😉

I echo peoples thoughts.
Met some great people over the years and consider myself to have a host of virtual friends.
Many great contributors with years of experience on every aspect of our trade, what more could a signmaker want.
Again, I dearly miss JC and I will be raising a glass to him at Christmas.

I also echo everything said above.
I have also made some wonderful friends here, for which I am eternally grateful. Rob deserves all the accolades. Not only is he one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, but he had a vision and he stuck to it.
I also learn a lot here, and although I’m not a regular like I used to be, I still consider this site to be the pinnacle of all sites around.
John Childs is sadly missed by many as his advice was motivated by a sincere desire to help much like Rob and others here.
Personally, I’d like to thank everyone here that makes this site so special.
10 years at anything is no mean feat, I hope he continues for many years to come
-
Congrats to Rob on 10 years of caring for the site
No mean feat at allI’m just a few days away from 9 years of joining
It proved to be an indescribable resource tool for me drawing on the experience of others. It inspired confidence in accepting challenges that otherwise I might have shied away from.
There’s an old proverb that says ‘iron sharpens iron’ meaning we all can learn from each otherAbove all I congratulate Rob on maintaining a high standard on the site. A breath of fresh air when you see how other sites, social or professional, permit all sorts of stuff to be said, or displayed with no monitoring whatsoever
Well Done Rob
:thanks2: -
Well done Rob, and thank you, and Mrs. Rob I suspect. I can’t add anything sensible to what’s already been said.
