You can’t do it from a photo to be fair, as Rob said the outlines are good for designs and some are very close but you can’t beat app tape and a marker, if it’s a one off van I normally template and place the app tape on top and cut the panel by hand but when you know your have a few to do or it’s a popular van it’s worth the time. This took me about 4 edits and a few meters of old vinyl and now it’s good to go

I’ve done a few of these jobs and been lucky or the material has helped, we print and trim the paper which is pre pasted and all we do is spray the back with water and let it soak for a few mins and hang, apply and squeegee the printed paper, works well and the media does not stretch, we get ours from all print supplies [emoji108]

MemberMarch 19, 2018 at 8:40 pm in reply to: Vehicle Panel Templates for covering with vinyl? For speed I like to copy Phil’s way if I’m doing a lot of the same vehicle as it’s quick once the application paper template has been made, then use the cut graphics to repeat, if it’s one I’m not likely to do again or a one off, you can’t beat Wrap cut, however I like design line as it gives a much neater cut, but you need to be very careful with it as it can snap on thicker materials.
