Just wondering what you guys would charge for the following, just to see I am in the ballpark on costings.
I realise people like to guard their prices

8ft x 2ft Dibond Hoarding grade, with a full colour graphic (supplied) printed and laminated
    Flat panel only

    Thank you

As an addition if divulging prices is to sensitive, what do you tend to mark up board materials by? Like dibond, core, foamex etc

i would be around the 180.00 mark. depending on a few variables. If i understood right thats supplied fitted to the dibond.

Yes you should add markup to your substrates. i add 50%

Not pricing as such, but Something you should consider when quoting. Your offering a short term budget hoarding board with a printed vinyl which is laminated to extend the life. If the customer is looking for a short term budget sign you will save a bit more on material and labour losing the the laminate from the job.
The only time I would include a laminate on a budget sign is if it will be subjected to UV, chemical or abrasion damage. Even then I would price it separate and offer it as an additional option.

    Hi Martyn

I am right in thinking you are not in the UK?

I’ve based my quote on £50 per square meter.

We’d be around the same as Martyn – Depends on the customer and what we think we can get away with 😆

£50 Sq/M, printed, laminated and on Composite… :yikes:

When I first set up we were charging £45.00 Sq/M for printed laminated vinyl.

We did a pitch of 50 for just a wee bit more than lee each. Supply only. As rob said a lot of variables. More time talking to customer the more chance you have of get a hint towards what they were paying if that’s the case. Or just ask.

I base my digitally printed vinyl onto ACM at £90 per sq mtr so £130-00 if i was applying to Foamex it would be £75-00 per sq mtr so £110-00 this doesn’t include artwork cost which could add an extra £25-50 on top and doesn’t include fitting the sign on site again which could be up-to £50-00 per hr, which I’ve Just worked my overheads out and this is what i should be charging an hour .
Try using this pricing structure to see if your on the right guidelines http://www.estimatesoftware.com/files// … _right.pdf

To download a little pricing program just put your email in here and it will send you a download link , its very good and gives you a good idea of what you should be charging per hour

Just to add don’t worry about the dollars at the end of the day, there only numbers just put your UK pounds or whatever currency you use it still works the same way,
I had a demo yesterday with Clarity Professional which I thought was to complicated and the Lite version wasn’t enough for what I needed so im sticking with Estimate i just need to tweak it a bit to help me out more on pricing

For a 5 or 7 yr laminated print on acm I charge £280 for a regular, £320 for a one off, for a 2440×610 £1550 & £175 respectively. A little less for 3yr print or dirt cheap acm.

Thanks of the replies – appreciated

The hoarding is for the pitch side of a local rugby club, feedback today is that some other company has priced at £50 all in.
No point in being a busy fool.

Correct, and from experience, the artwork will either be a word document, or a postage stamp sized JPEG 😆

£50 for 8×2 as one off is not healthy and will get you depressed sooner or later.

oops!! I wish I could get that!!

I do my old rugby club, I was involved with the advertising from the beginning so specified 3050 x 750 composite from the off, nice and uniform, easy to clean and they last _ I made and donated the scoreboard which, along with some of the original signs is still going well nearly 8years on! I charge £180 for those with a 3yr laminated print, or £90 for a re-cover of an old one.

anyone charging £50 for a sign that size is either deluded or robbing their boss blind when doing their private job on the weekend! . £50 would just cover the composite and delivery on a single sheet order!
