Cheeky one for Vivaro New Shape, help needed please?
Would anyone that’s done a vector file for flood coat be willing to let me have the file ( happy to pay or swap for ones I have made ) for another vehicle
if not we will template and create a file as we have a few to sign

A few adjustments and were sorted -
To be honest mate, I would do what you have done and paper template the recess and trace every-day of the week.
As much as I love Impacts software, no-vehicle software is accurate enough for cutting the likes of magnetic panels.
Even once I trace what I want, I come in a further 10mm all around to allow a bit of movement when applying the magnetic panel. -
I’ve never had much luck tracing a template to make a cut file.
I think it’s when we take the photo of it, the image distorts.

You can’t do it from a photo to be fair, as Rob said the outlines are good for designs and some are very close but you can’t beat app tape and a marker, if it’s a one off van I normally template and place the app tape on top and cut the panel by hand but when you know your have a few to do or it’s a popular van it’s worth the time. This took me about 4 edits and a few meters of old vinyl and now it’s good to go

How do you trace it from the app tape template?
Take a photo?
I tried it once with drafting paper, took a photo, but took more than 4 edits :bangshead:
