As far as I’m aware there is a download from Cadlink website for your hasp dongle for spack2 mine worked without it and I think there is an update for Signlab 7 to 7.1 just do it through Signlab update when it comes up tell it to look on cadlink web site but I think you have to register your copy first.

I like the T shirt vinyl with the sticky carrier weeds absolutely great and sticks to the tee lightly when applying.

I’ll tell you a good one about SKY year ago a friend of mine got a monsterous bout £800 i think it was maybe slightly less.
To cut a long story short turned out to be the sky box calling the automatic clock to sort the time it was doing it all the time. Did SKY compensate him er NO so be wary of it being plugged in to the phone socket. (this is what I was told anyway)

Well well not to happy to hear about all this as I almost bought this machine but someone else advised me to buy a cadet as you can go either way with the inks.

    Outline saidb

    quote :

I wouldn’t give the previous owner any earache as you don’t know the history and the conditions the machine has been subjected to. The problem is you saw the machine running to a standard you was happy with, you personally agreed to purchase on the basis of this

He also said it was all paid for as well I have an email saying so.

But at least I have a warranty with my new machine which should be up and running today.

Then again he could’ve been bluffing to get your price nearer the £300 (maybe what he was prepared to pay) mark unless you seen the quote that is.

None of the larger companies supply the same level of support that they did 5-7 years ago it’s the way things are done now less stock = less overheads, less employee’s etc etc.

If the gold, silver etc is non Roland check that the bar code (black and chrome barcode the machine reads) on the cart is the right code for the colour. I got caught out like that from another supplier had to put an orange ribbon in a silver cart to print orange once.

If they are wrong tell them to send you proper ones.

    Worth a check anyway.

I like the way the Summa D60 has the two inserts that go into the end of the tube of yinyl and you just screw them tight and it sits on the two rollers on the back of the machine. So much so in fact I use them on the PC600 as it can be a real pain to align but with the Summa end caps makes it a breeze aligning the Roland.

Think B&P are insisting on you using Troop when you buy so would explain the cost difference.

I am in the process of buying one should be delivered Monday Tuesday waiting for confirmation. Comes with a days training couple of rolls of yinyl and Roland colour rip.

The price? I am not going to say as it is special circumstances (a long drawn out story) and got a small but fair reduction.

I have a D60 and half the speed to stop it chewing vinyl as it occaisionally did also I turned off the automatic pre feed so all it does is measure the width of the vinyl and I manually motor through the page size needed just to check it if you dont do that it comes up with an error in the X plane I think it says. I just prefer doing it this way not so much kinks (not that it makes much difference anyway they disappear when applied).

Should check your origin and end I personally don’t use wincut though but you should have Summa cutter control installed as well to set it up don’t you? easierto set it there you can change a lot of settings there.

If you take in a bitmap of with a lot of complex curves in it you just lock the bitmap draw the bits on the bitmap you want make that a path put it behind the bitmap and then clip it and if gives you a bitmap the shape you want and then you can contour cut it of just the bits you need.

    Goop

well thats the way I do it anyway an it works for me.

I’m not an experienced user either (no CSeither) but the way I have found is using the pathfinder tool and here you can use intersect exclude etc etc. Just hilight the shapes you want to join and Intersect I suppose.
The way I have been doing most of my work was to draw an outline and exclude the bits I didn’t want but that was for pics mostly.
I’m sure someone more experienced will post later and explain I might learn something my self.
I hope this gets you started anyway.

I always seem to get “bits” under the artwork when I import just watch for stray things in Signlab I do a sweep selection and see if anything odd is highlighted. Be sure and weld in Signlab as well as when it cuts it may cut a double line.

I had a similar experience at the last company I worked for pretty large though and they recieved a letter from the police saying the same blah blah camerea need the drivers name. So following this they went to the drives log and guess what someone had ripped out the page of that date what a laff.
The manager had a meeting and asked the guilty person to come forward and there would be no repercussions no one did funnily enough.
Plod was not a happy chappy lol.

If you install any progs on your computer they almost universally install pdf reader at the same time.
Almost everybody can open a pdf ie Portable Document Format in it?

You can download free programes that make pdf from the net. Qute pdf is a good one that I used to use.

You might be able to do it if you paste it into word then select it all right click the highlighted text select font then in the box that pops up under character spacing tab select spacing – condenced and condence it till it fits one page too late I know but a quick way to make it all smaller.
