You need to seperate the file as it is reading more than one cut line. Its similar to making a shape in a vector package with an outline around the edge of it, the cutting software recognises the shape as one cut line, then the outline as another and so on.

    What software are you using?

Whizz the logo/file onto the screen, ungroup it (presuming its grouped) then try seperating the different elements. You’ll probably find some layers to the graphic that shouldn’t be there. Also, highlight the logo/file, and do a right click on the clear colour of your colour palette. This will remove any outlines that are on the graphic. Once you’ve done all that, export it as an EPS and try cutting it. It’ll take a while to seperate the logo/file out doing it this way, but it should only cut once.

you could try welding the image, that way any other layers below the original image will become 1…. worth a go, i do this with discs bought off ebay, as they are not the best quality……..

Put it on wireframe view and you’ll see the mess.

Some of these files are virtually uncuttable as it takes so long trying to sort out all the overlaps and outlines.

Had exactly the same problem and found welding was the quickest and easiest solution….. that will teach me to buy proper disks in future and not ebay stuff…!!!!

Its the same when I take .ia files into signlab seems to see the lines as outlines (probably me anyway) and a simple weld sorts it out.
