Sorry I am late on this, I meant to make a proper announcement about this as I have already had folk email me etc

Basically the site is going to POP! 😮

The traffic is growing by the day, the posts are getting out of control and the amount of emails im getting is unreal. Not to mention the work I am presently doing behind the scenes just now. Lots of new stuff to come…

Anyway…
Last week after a really hectic few days I contacted Dewi, Carrie and Andrew (vectorwise) and asked them would they consider helping me by being moderators on the boards?

Carries reply was “like hell I will, umpa-lumpa man!” 😕
Dewi’s reply was “kiss my Harvey-wall-banger yeh fruit drinking kilt lifter” 🙁
And Andrew just muttered, “go fu*k yourself shorty!” 😮

So in a fit of rage I took out my magic wand and turned them all green… 😛

Ok so maybe ive been watching too much of my little girls fairy stories on DVD…

Anyway…

Truth is, im really struggling to administrate the site daily. Not so much by emails and that kind of thing, more to do with keeping posts in the correct forums, stopping spammers, editing rude replies/posts you name it, it happens regular. You may not think it happens often but that’s normally because I catch it early. The real problems arrise when I am not online during the day or at weekends… if I am not there, then guaranteed problems happen!
So last week, like I said, I asked Carrie, dewi & Andrew would they mind. All three said they would be happy to help out when & if they can.
I asked all three for various reasons, but mainly because they are often online using the site & already help out and reply when they can. Not saying nobody else does this, they do, but I had to narrow it down and thought this was a good choice.

So does anything change now? Well the short answer is no.
Everything is as usual, but if any of them see something needing done & I am not around they have the functions/buttons & authority to do it for me.
The only time any of them will actually need to do something is if a user is breaking board rules, simple as that.

Having moderators will also help me in various ways. I can confer and ask opinions on many things, that until now, I had to just decide on my own. As you will all know, Its good to throw ideas back and forward with folk, getting opinion/views etc

Thank you for the well wishing though, it is much appreciated. Its only when you have to do the job that Robert does that you realise just how difficult it is to make things run so smoothly. No doubt we’ll make the odd mistake now and then, but hopefully the time we’ll free up for Robert will mean more demos, content etc etc as he’ll be spending less time dealing with the admin side. 😀
