Thats not a problem, you just use them to host the site. Go to the build part of the site and register with them. You can then do the 24 hour download & try before you buy. You don’t have to buy a domain name from them.

Rich I just had a letter from serif.com offering me web plus 8 for a tenner http://www.serif.com/webplus/webplus8/index.asp its pretty good software I’d give their office in Nottingham a ring and see what they say.

Speak to Rob this site is done on free software by the looks of it (might be wrong tho)
Forum etc is the same format as hundereds of other sites out there.
Do a search on the web and take your choice.

Another alternative, although it pains to mention it, is MS Frontpage. If your server/web host has Frontpage Server Extensions, you can use a standard gallery template available in Frontpage and have a website up and running within a matter of hours. The downside is, it’ll look like half a million other sites out there 😕

Hotdog Pro is a good web design package, but it does require some HTML knowledge. Adobe Live is fairly easy to use, but has a £200 price tag and Dreamweaver is the business, but again with a £300+ price tag, to get anything reasonable you’d be looking at getting a 2nd hand version for £50 out of the Loot.

    I knew nothing about Dreamweaver
Downloaded a demo, created a site in 3 hours and never looked back!

It is literally point and click

Send me an email if you need any help

This is how I did my first website. Totally legal, just make sure you put a macromedia link on the page.

How is it coming along Rich? Have you decided which software to use etc?
