  • Vinyl Cutter wanted for a Friend – not a swap though!!

Posted by mr-sticky on March 29, 2005 at 9:40 am

Hi, i am after a cheap-ish second or maybe third user 24″ vinyl cutter with some good life left in it so that i can give it to a friend to try and allow him to learn better techniques and skills on a machine at home.

Make and speed is not of the highest importance, cost effectiveness is.

I am not swapping the plotter for the friend, as it would probably read in the ad!!

I will happily collect from the northamptonshire area

    Thankyou
    Mr Stcky

PS Hello everyone, Im new here.

    Hi and Welcome Mr-Sticky 😀

Can’t help much with the plotter, but I thought I’d say Hi 😀 Glad you cleared up the whole swap thing though, there are so many ppl in need of friends that a plotter is a small price to pay :lol1: 😉

    Cheers, Dewi

I am now after a printer and cutter machine, possibly a roland colour cam pc 60 etc etc.
I am open to all offers regarding a printer cutter.
Thanks and good luck with your sale.

Is there any way on this machine that you could print some vinyl on another printer then outline cut.

there are lots of machines now that print only but print regoistration marks. you can then put the prints into a cutter for it to pick up reg marks and contour cut. these type of cutters have to have opus sensors built in though…

it maybe worth a phone call to Roland to see if the Opus system can be fitted to the pnc 5000

I belive on the Graphtec you can have the OPUS fitted, or you can align to targets using what they call a Bombsight, which is a small lens with cross hair that can be fitted in the head.
I hoped the Roland might be the same.

Great does it have any sort of software supplied with it. I currently print exhibition graphics PopUp, Banner stands etc so have no experience of vinyl cutting.
Therefore any help if I was to buy would be great.
