quote John Dorling:Some really excellent work there – I especially like the noodlebox job. Did you do the design on that one? Were the menus printed or vinyl (weeding would have been fun!). Dibond? How did you fix to the wall they look slightly raised? Questions questions…..
Thanks for posting!

I didn’t go in the end, yesterdays migraine was still hanging about, woke up at five to get ready and could not even walk to the bathroom so i had day off! first sick day since??? last one. will be in tomorrow, must answer the phone to those happy google search engine people, missed them today…asif!!! 👿

quote Gareth Lewis:You back?
This little gem is in Heath, by the park. There is a road that runs round the perimeter of the park, with houses on it that face the park. It is over the far end, near the Allensbank Rd/Heath Pk Rd bit, on one of the little roundybouts. There may be another nearby telling us where West (and South) reside. Wouldn’t that be neat?
How did the show go?
a hidden village maybe?! a leaflet drop ive not found!!! jesus what next! yes! head west and south! ha
Rhys and Sandy went up to show, i stayed back and made some signs in heath by the park!! 😛

There you go Ade, if it all gets too much in the sign trade, you can make a living busking in Queen St.

will give orajet a go when i receive sample then decide.
not much between them i expect, price like you say is better with europoint..thank for the info Nick

MemberAugust 11, 2007 at 11:40 am in reply to: whats the views on mutoh and the versacamm please?Well after a few weeks i have decided its the Versacamm vp540.
went up to roland in bristol on thursday for a demo and was very impressed by the machine, not yet seen the Value Jet and to be honest im not going to either..Im sure its a good machine but in the end the versacamm ticked all the boxes for me..
Print wise its great and it cuts at a good pace.
The rip was simple and easy to use.
Was going to get the 300 but price wise it better to get the 540.
Just need to get bigger unit to make it fit! 😉 😀cheers

MemberJuly 26, 2007 at 9:51 pm in reply to: whats the views on mutoh and the versacamm please?well ive been speaking to a few people..
Apart from the awful name Value jet!! seems crazy to think a company would use such a name, sounds like something tesco’s make.
The samples i received from spandex seemed good and so did Roland’s.
gonna need to see both working..
I have heard reports of the v jet stopping when ink runs out, once a new
one is installed it was supposed to carry on but the guy said it just gave a error reading and ruined a banner?
maybe a one off problem but interested to find out..
is the vjet old technology reboxed, maybe thats the reason for the price..
think we need v jet and versacamm users to speak and put us at rest..
im not sure which one to buy..
Im not a huge spandex fan to be honest so im leaning towards rolands
versacamm for the print, cut and its rip looks user friendly at the mo
The vjet maybe has a slight edge on print quality but that i need to see first hand before i decide which one.
tricky indeed (?)Ade

MemberJune 27, 2007 at 10:08 am in reply to: what are peoples thoughts on dingtec P-Cut and other ImportsHi all, to be honest im getting bored of hearing comments from the (££££) Grand plus plotter owners and there suppliers saying how bad these machines are.. at least give them some credit, we all gotta start somewhere.
I would not spend 2 grand on a plotter, ive used them when i was working for companies, they had problems, poor tracking and break downs just like the cheaper brands
some are just not worth that money for what they do..
can understand paying alot for a printer.
Plus some of us dont have cash flying out of every pocket..
These machines for the money are very good and give good starts to small sign companies on a budget, if i could afford a sports car i would buy one but i have a fiat!! it does the job for me.
have a look at Roland, graphtec and summa topics.. penty of problems there being discussed!! end of the day they have got moving parts so there gonna break down at some point just knowing when??…
its a lottery!!
ok sometimes the software takes longer to set up..
but we are not talking days longer really to be honest.
mine set up in about a hour after playing about!!
I had a Refine plotter till last sunday..it broke down after 10 months hard graft, so i returned it and got it replaced with a newer model and while i was there i bought another for the future..
there all similar – pcuts, dings, kings, vector x, refine, aaa cut, dragon cutters and many more..
they do the job at a slower rate and cut well…what more can you ask!
been talking to people who have had there so called cheap machines for years!! there business are doing well.
when i can afford a graphtec i gonna be buying one for sure.. till then my couple of cheap plotters will do more than a great job.cheers
Ade -
great first job
well done! :thumbsup:Ade

Think that looks pretty smart
Well done Rich.cheers

have to agree with karl when it comes to doing whatever it takes to get noticed and promote your business.
Im proud of how we have grown but keeping the ship afloat, creating a buzz and not standing still is basically what its all about..tons of competition out there, just gotta do that little bit extra to pull them in..
yes cheesy but it does the job..nice one Karlcheers

gonna look into it, graphtec sounds the one from what ive heard here and chatting with Gareth….(cheers mate, Swansea was a blast :punk: great gig)
Price wise its the best for me i think..
the puma or jag from grafityp are in that price range, they dont look that robust compared to the graphtec.
Used a summa 48inch before..was good machine..££££££!! thou 😮
Happy with the 610max at the mo..cheers all

quote Phill:I think Karl may have been upset by the other thread that was ongoing concerning a sick child in hospital.
The problem with forums is you never know what the other person is thinking and it is so very easy to inadvertently upset someone with a light hearted comment that may be perceived in the wrong way by someone else reading it.
I’m sure Ade didn’t mean any offense by this – Just as I’m sure Karl would have seen this in a different light had he not been reflecting on some of the sadness that we all sometimes bear in life.
On this occasion I think we have to agree to disagree – but respect each others views and move on.
I know I have offended in the past with comments I have made that were intended to be lighthearted but were unfortunately interpreted at the time as being malicious
Thats a good point Phil..
no harm or offense was intended towards Karl or anyone..
just a bit of light hearted fun and play on words but your right about
other things going on in the forums.Ade.
