Meeting your Hero’s..
Hi all
Thought i would post a pic of me and the great, Bluesman Buddy Guy.
Got a friend in the usa who knows Buddy and the band well, all down to earth and welcoming, met a few of them before so that helps.
good to have a few contacts!!
Great band he has to.
Sure many of the guitarists on here know there history regarding chicago blues? Muddy etc.
Buddy now i guess is the last of that era, not many left these days.
Been backstage many times before on Buddy tours since 2002, getting to meet him is the tricky bit..he dont hang about.
5th time lucky in Londons Shepherds bush Empire last week, we were trying to keep out of his way, funny how things happen.
Managed a chat with him and a picture, will treasure that experience.
Its been a mind blowing week..sod work for once, some things are more important..wish i had staff to cover..lol
He is 72 and still an awesome performer.
Managed to get on the guest list for most of his uk tour this week. started out as one night in London but turned into a mini tour..lol
watched backstage for few shows and sat in audience for a few.
What a performer.
any of you have who have not seen him live i would try go next time.
or if travelling near Chicago pop into his club Legends.

hmmm. well i dont look like a chicago blues legend, i try but just cant pull it off so im on the left, buddy guy on right…lol
as for me making it up well i guess you will have to research the web or you tube!

Excellent.
I saw him with Clapton a few years ago, watched his set from Glasto last night.
As you say, still a great performer and no less than a blues legend himself.
I like the tee-shirt, but I’d imagine that Deep Purple got there first.
