This afternoons job – small and very basic and boring compared to what is normally posted but I think they turned out well for a cheap job!
A bundle of these fluted display boards done for a customer who wanted something a bit modern to stick on lamposts around the town!

Look tidy enough to me Marcella, I take it they are vinyl and not printed. Are they single sided?

Be interesting to see how long they last, I have done quite a few boards for customers to stick on lampposts and if the competition don’t rip them down the council normally do.

done in vinyl Martin yes. I’ve already said to him that the council might remove them and he’s willing to take the chance …………..
    If the council don’t I will ……… :lol1: and get another order 😮 😳 :lol1:

Marcella, I use to do work for about 6 different paving companies, at least 2 of them at some time had asked me if the price would be cheaper if they provided the board. They then brought out a board that I had done for another company, sometimes it was difficult to keep a straight face when they asked :lol1:

Graeme – whatever you can get away with! As George said £9 ( he’s already asked what I charged ) is what I charged for these. There were only 10 of them.

Graeme, its obviously dependent on quite a lot of factors, quantity, number of colours, intricacy of design etc etc.

If it is a large quantity then screen printing is obviously the best way to go and I have no idea what the current going rate for getting them done would be. If its a small quaintly done in vinyl then it will be down to number of colours.
There was a discussion about this a while ago but can’t remember the actual title of the topic, for 1 offs for houses for sale etc I used to charge £17.50 for a 2 x 2 colour boards with standard layout that I just added the number to so Georges £9 wouldn’t seem to be to far out but there are guys on ebay now doing these sort of boards for silly money so sometimes it’s just not worth getting involved.

thats completely true what Martin has said Graeme. many factors come into play. For a for sale sign I charge about £30 ….. and get it. But if there’s 100 or so a screenprinter is the way to go. I’ll only vinyl if it’s a small amount.
