I can vouch for Andrew, I use him for all my vector work now. The last one was just done from a crappy mobile phone picture too.
Agreed on the copyright issue though, may be worth asking the question.

Just the job, thanks Adrian.

Ive got a heat press and mug press as part of a full subli set-up. It doesnt make me as much as a Vehicle or Shop sign but every now and then I get a batch of 20 – 30 Hen night teeshirts that can be a nice little earner.
I certainly wouldnt knock anyone who only does garment decoration, it is certainly harder than it looks.
-
Just the job, cheers George.
-
Theres also Bay Plastics who do a good 3mm Ally Composite.

All the best Rob.

No joy here either mate.

Cheers MArtin, I forget about the search function all the time!

Do an eBay search or OBD2 Fault Code Reader. They arent quite as high tech as the equipment the garages use, but they achieve the same result which is retrieving the fault code from the cars ECU which can be then realated to the actual fault.
-
You can buy the machines from eBay for £20! Its a huge scam the garages have charging obscene amounts for "Diagnostics" when it takes literally 2 minutes to do.

A few weeks ago I took my 3 year old to the beach to make Sand Castles (or Sand Carstles as she poshly pronounces it). I explained that she needed to use the wetter sand to make them and not the dry stuff.
Ten minutes later and its lashing down with rain and an ecstatic 3 year old is soaked through to the skin building Sand Castles with the now wet sand!!

This is going to kill the second hand market for cars that are under 5 years old as it will be almost as cheap to buy a new one on small hatchbacks.

Sorry to hear your news, our Boxer was diagnosed with a heart condition when he was only about 5 or 6 year old. The vet put him on Vetmedin and he is now 11 and still strong as an Ox. Its always a worry when he has to go under anesthetic because of the condition though, but touch wood he is still going.

Subli Supplies do something but im not sure if it can be used on fabric, I have a feeling it might just be for ceramics and such.

Sorry, I never explained well. It needs the white subli panel, similar to the XPres ones.

You need to get your hands on a copy of the Price It Guide then ammend it to suit your area.

Yep I use 651 too, ive layered it 4 deep and never had any issues.

After a year of using Ralawise im slowly switching to Ethicstar for Hoodies as the quality is just as good but they are cheaper to use.

Great work, but in pic 3what IS that cat doing to that poor dog???

All you can do is price every job as it comes. You can use a markup as many do, but I dont really feel mark ups work so I avoid them.

Cheers guys, ill take a look at this in the morning when ive got my work PC infront of me.
I never thought about saving as an EPS then reopening tbh, and I cant open your file at the moment Chris as ive not got X3 on home PC.
Thanks as ever

Alan DI tried that Alan but when I went to cut/plot it extracts the contents automatically for some reason.
Thats what confused me originally.

I know the impact stuff isnt exact, but as I said its just my own car so I thought id try new methods which I can then transfer to other jobs.

quote Dave n Rob Lowery:Was in CEF (City Electrical Factors) recently and they had a video running showing a tube of stuff for fixing piping, trunking etc to walls. They also had some samples stuck to brickwork and it was solid! Might be worth giving them a ring and ask them what it is, as I didn’t take the name down 🙁
Dave
What branch was it?
-
Im just not sure if they would need drilling and plugging, or just screwing direct to the block paving.
I didnt want to fix to the kerb as this would have caused a trip issue.

I thought they had succeeded with the Youtube thing?

But if its real then surely on 1.11 it confuses itself? On an RC (or any) car the wheels can only turn a certain degree, so why turn the blackberry 180 degrees to turn a corner?
B*llocks if you ask me, and they should be sacked if they arent self employed.

MemberMarch 2, 2009 at 12:07 pm in reply to: can anyone help with sublimating t-shirt problem please?Paul,
I tend to stick to Gildan T Shirts as they get a better response from my customers and feel a better quality T Shirt.
I do Hi Viz at exactly the same temp and pressure as T Shirts and get good results every time with no bleed in the image at all.

MemberMarch 2, 2009 at 10:09 am in reply to: can anyone help with sublimating t-shirt problem please? Also worth bearing in mind Paul is that if you ever do Hi Viz vests on the press make sure you cover both faces of the press as the bright yellow from the vest stays on the press and makes a mess of white Teeshirts (I found out the hard way).

MemberMarch 2, 2009 at 10:06 am in reply to: can anyone help with sublimating t-shirt problem please?25 seconds isnt enough Paul. We do 190c for 50 seconds on T Shirts and 40 seconds on Mousemats.
-
As already said, you need a very high polyester count in the garments to be able to sublimate onto them.

Sorry, just checked when I got in this morning and its 2008 V25, not V27.
Feel free to remove bids if needed due to this error.
We will also match the final bid for this disc doubling the amount that goes to charity.
The charity will be http://www.make-a-wish.org.uk/
Rob, can you edit the title please?

Lynn has a point about banners not laying flat, especially if hemmed. When I did mine I had it tight across the bench by using a few self tappers through the eyelets, not ideal but im replacing my work surface soon anyway.
-
Hi Mark,
I did my own 1.5m banner for a cage fight event last week and layered on the banner, all seemed ok.
It was only a one off event so I just used some old 651 stock and all was fine.
-
They had a deal on the other week, latest IVL and a whole catalogue of clipart, logos etc for just over £100.
I got it, but havent opened it yet. Anyone know what im meant to do with the old one?
-
It was Laser Charles Wight just the same as it is now but on black plates. Theres a free one online somewhere with different name
-
It wasnt that one Phill, it wasnt quite as detailed as that.
Cheers for looking all the same though, much appreciated as ever.
