  • HELP – Mark 4 Ford Escort (Preferably Cosworth) Outline

Posted by Silvio Alves on March 30, 2009 at 12:34 pm

    Hello All,

    Hope all is well.

I would appreciate if someone could help me with a vehicle outline, I am after a Mark 4 Escort preferably Cosworth.

Unfortunately the vehicle outlines that we have do not have this vehicle due the age of the car (too old), I would appreciate if there is someone who would be able to post a Mark 4 Escort EPS or tell me where I can get hold of this vehicle outline. We have been asked to come up with a design for our customers rally car.

Apologies in having to ask for this as I am aware that members do not like to give out this sort of thing on the boards. However I do not know where else I can get hold of this vehicle outline as it is an old vehicle.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    All the best

    Silvio

Does anyone know if "Impact Graphic Solutions" has this vehicle outline in their DVD library?

    Many thanks

We have a MK5 Cosworth, wasn’t aware there was a Mk4 Cosworth? thought the RS Turbo was the flagship model.

    Hello Brian,

Thank you for getting back promptly, Our customer told us it was the last shape escort before the focus, and he had told us it was a mark 4. Have just had a look via google, and yes you are right, it must be a MK5, as the MK4 looks nothing like it.

We are interested in purchasing a new vehicle outline catalogue, and have heard good things about your vehicle outlines on these boards.

Can you tell me how your library is listed ion your disk, i.e. if we wanted to find the Ford Gosworth Mark 5, would this be easily identified on your library?

or say if we wanted a Ford Transit SWB 2003, would this be easily identified on your disk?

    Many thanks

Yes dead easy to find. There are pics of the vehicles & model years in the book. They are also split into categories/manufacturers. So the Escort is listed in the cars section & the Transit under light commercial.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the info. Just another quick question, how accurate are the outlines for cutting, we would always do check dims in any case, the vehicle outline that we have are OK but we have had a few that have been way off the mark.

    Many thanks

Best to do a search Silvio, there are plenty of discussions on the subject on this site. They are never going to be 100% spot on due to the outlines being 2d & the vehicles 3d. If sizes are critical (ie you want to fit a panel exactly) then we always advise measuring first.

Silvio we don’t have the facility to order online. Your best bet would be to order via UKSG and save 20%.

As already pointed out by Brian, the Cosworth was launched on the Mk5.
