I once came across a slightly unusual spider in a pallet of goods which came from italy, looked like a moe colourful wood spider, however, it wasn’t as friendly and soon got stepped on after it jumped clean over the A4 sheet of paper i was picking it up with and grabbed hold of my finger with sharp little feet (eek) 😮

actually, I don’t know about Mike, but we have redback spiders everywhere at home and work. They don’t bother you if you don’t bother hem, but you look twice before you pickup something laying around the house.
Red Belly snakes are common here in summer… just head in the opposite direction and you’ll be fine :lol1:
Sharks close our beaches every so often, especially if the bait fish are running.
Funnel web spiders are common in homes in Sydney, especially the northern beaches.
We do get some pretty big spiders here though. Only a few days ago, my kids were at home next door and I heard this blood curdling scream from my daughter followed by ‘SPIDER!!’.
I had to smile because usually its me that has to catch/kill the thing with my shoe. My wife and kids are petrified of the big ones.
I rang home a few minutes later to see if they killed it…. The wife said ‘no… it escaped into your office desk (at home) so you’ll have to find it when you get home’
I haven’t found it yet, but I’m sure my kids will let me know if it surfaces again 😉
I was 40klm’s away last week, and the kids were home alone. My son rings me totally breathless…. ‘Dad you’ve got to come home and kill a spider… its in the toilet’…. had to break the news to him that he either killed it himself, or keep his legs crossed till I get home….
Never a dull moment round here :lol1:
