sorry jem meant to say a bit scary for you at least you wern’t confronted by them we got broken into one night whilst we were in bed, fotunatly we didn’t hear them.
we didn’t have this business then they stole quite a bit including a video camera and the bits that go with it + cd’s etc it is quite a long story but the outcome was the police recovered the camera etc, brought it back to us Peter noticed the wires were differant asked the detective if they had looked at the video 😮 he said no Peter played the video they had only filmed their selves (they said they had found the stuff in the car they nicked to cart our stuff away with) very embarrased detective says “would you mind if I take this back cause now we can charge them!!) 😛

sorry nigel you are half right when you have weeded what ever it is,
you are left with the up side (smooth) of the backing paper around your graphics you need the app tape to stick to this other wise it flaps around every where and sticks to what you don’t want it to,
does that make any sense?? I do seem to be going through a senseless period 😮

supposing the grahics were £250.00 for a decorator, gas /heating enineer, plumber, builder they would have the graphics paid for with half a job so why do they say things like that to us it makes me cross as they are not saying but implying we are less skilled or proffesional than them 😛 call any of them out and say good bye to a lot of money

    Brian,
ive done quite a few of these, Never had any problems getting the vynil to stick, just make sure its cleaned properly. and if its not brand new, a rub over with a brillo pad will bring it up shiny.
Some colours dont look to good on galvanised, but you could always flood coat it, cheaper than dibond.

Sounds like a good idea, but price guides are just that, guides!
How much do you charge for a pound of spuds? the answer, if you ask the big supermarkets is, Buy as cheap as you can. and sell for as much as you can get! Keep an eye on what the comp is charging, that is a good a guide as any. Get your friends to phone other sign companies for quotes, and you will soon get a feel for your local market.

I think to cut them manually is going to take a bit of time, if you have to, use a band saw,you will be able to get a more accurate cut.
But there are now lots of companies that supply flat cut letters, at very reasonable rates, its hardly worth the effort to make them yourself.

Yes we barter a little bit Patio doors Plants for pots and baskets. meat from the butcher all local all kept local we all have to take care of our local communitys other wise we won’t have them, I would sooner go down my local high street and they know who I am and also know I’m getting good stuff mostly they only do good stuff not always cheapest, my sister came down to stay for a day or two she was so impressed that the butcher said oh hi Lynn you ok? how’s Peter she shops at the big supermarkets and don’t know her from adam. keep it local

    Hi Packman welcome 😀

when ever you spend money on making money always pay as much as you can and always buy proper stuff you may spend a bit more but you know youv’e got the back up and help that goe’s with it for example buy some thing form impact have a problem it’s sorted with a phone call (not in impacts pay) it could be anyone. and buy your vinyls as you need them most firms deliver next day so if you haven’t got it no customer can expect to see you and get sorted the same day. you can always ask for samples to show customers you don’t need to be stacked out with vinyl.

O.K. big confession time when we first started ordered lots of vinyl I liked the colour of unfortunately (or fortunately) most of our customers are big burley decorators buiders gardeners so they didn’t really want pink purple or teal.

still have quite a bit left sorry of on a spin
