hi thanks 4 the crits, the company wanted the text in red, yellow and kumquat, there wasn’t any scope for changing text colour, i only had to create the logo for them.
they were well pleased at the result, also i got roofing companies 4 vans to design on the back of the jif van, as they liked the end result, just shows everybodys taste is different i guess.

    Hi Peter,
    it’s a false tanning product.
You get sprayed with fake tan rather than shrivel up using the sunbeds
    Hope that makes sense (?)

If its an edge two, there is a small recess beside the power cable, this holds two extra fuses, one is a spare, check them out, not just the fuses in the plug, the fuses will cost 50pence.

yes makes sense what ur saying.
Im looking at time for applying and creating graphic.
As your aware it could be installed in minutes if it were in one piece.

if you only have one piece of vinyl to install, why not try and do that, rather than create individual boxes and text lines.

thats what im trying to produce, something that in one piece, walk into shop, walk out of shop 5 mins later, job done.

thanks forr your imputs lads much apprieciated.

i’m making two for a client, thing to watch out if making them from old caravan chasis, theres a new law law coming out in sept/oct where the police now have the power to impound them if they are made up of old caravan trailers, some of the trailers you see are mega cobbled together by clowns. Use a reputable fabricator.
Take it coppers, are cleaning up the roadways.
I’d get one done for you but Im to far away from ur area, cost you more transporting it down south.

Don’t know what printer u use, I use an edge.
the edge automatically finds the registration for printing in layers, with a little tweeking!.
Can u mark the vinyl (ink pen) print the white , then bring back the vinyl to the original start point then print the other colour!!

    import image from coral.

    go to options in omega
select your image editor (put this as coral or whatever ur using) this will allow you to edit the image in composser and coral.
u can then import image using file import button etc.

once u have the image ready to print select all then go to set up in composer : device select, print mode, u can now use 600*300 dpi for clearer prints.

you can also hit the 123 icon and change the halftones.
For photos use photowork either, fine or long( fine for veiwing close up, long for veiwing at a distance.

if you play about with these settings you will be able to change lines per inch etc.

Happy playing with your new toy….

Transparent, white or coloured are good 751 series.

If you want to save money drop me a line.

    Hi
Appears to me that a lot of time is wasted by creating van graphics in layers, applying wet / dry etc. (each job has its merits for dry/wet)
I believe that a job like you are describing would be best produced by an edge. Everything is created on one layer hence no problems with layers.
Appriciate that different cpeople use different printers/plotters etc.
Can the graphics be produced by an edge owner, they may cost you and client more, but saves a heck of a time. (!)

Time is money, less problems to contend with.

Hourly rate has gone up to £75 ph.
Good having all this knowledge on the boards, saves small companies paying a fortune for blowing out dust.

Mind you I might ask gerber if there any jobs going for blowing out dust.
    Thanks Frank

    Hi Mark
I use the 2003 version of Mrclipart
To scale up to correct size use 1000% then 200% that will take it to the correct size of vehicle.
Goodtip, the actual size is shown for each vehicle, once you’ve scaled it up, use your drawing tool in your software to draw a line the length of the vehicle, check it, should be the same as what is down on the template.
You Normally get a 5 to 7 mill difference when scaling up.

    Good luck

    Hi Rob
Yes I should have been more clearer.
I need to create indoor shop menu, using 3mm pvc board.
I was wondering if there is anyplace i can purchase blank shaped cut pvc boards. Not confident in creating my own design and have no cutter to cut pvc board.
The boards will be secured on to wall. Naturally I will attach digital graphics to boards to show range of food that is sold in the premises.
