Started doing my own car as a way of advertising as you do !

Did the rear window contravision style with an image I made up.

Nice job , did you change the gaps from Robs demo? It looks like they are smaller than 2mm or the printed part is greater than 2mm.

    Cheers

Had a play around the 2 mil looked to big for the pic so made em 1.3 and the pic ones 2.5 you get a ghosting of the pic in the mirror but can still see no problems.

    nice pic Goop,
whats it like filling the entire window, is it harder than the oval shape you created.

Gave up after 2 attemps at it the scenic window has curves going both ways and a rectangle just didn’t work.

Goop I was going to reply to your how do I,
Sorry mate got waylaid at the time.
The next time I looked you had done it!
for future jobs, Try it like this.
Cut the image oversize, 30-40cm both ways.
place on screen centered. put masking tape top to botom in middle.
Peel back one side, cut of backing, and apply dry with a felt sqeegy.
Then do the other half. work the graphic into the rubber edge/trim with a plastic sqeegey. then trim with a scalpel.
takes a bit of practice but works for me.
When applying, its a bit hard to describe in words, but work in an arc and keep the app tape with the graphic at about 45 degrees.

I tried that but when I folded it bac it seemed to fold over near the middle and when I tried to apply the app tape was very tight because of the curve and I got some nasty wrinkles which I couldn’t get rid of
Maybe I had the pic too tight in the first place at the middle but the scenic window is certainly more curved than most.

    Thanks anyway

i think you have done really well here mate, by all means alter spacing etc to suit your preference i just went on the size i chose for ease of demo. you did well mate. good for you…

the window shaped bit. i basically just over size images maybe 1 inch all round. im still not sure/clear on the issue here but you seem to have done a good job.

damn i need some more hayfever tablets 😕 😥 😥
