Have you tried whatfontis.com? It gives several potential results, I just don’t have most of those fonts… Check it out! (edit) Just noticed your post was two weeks old… but for the future that site is worth checking out…

Looks great Shane! Seems that you have specialized in a bit bigger vehicles… wonder what you consider a "small job" these days…?

quote Shane Drew:I do have some stability issues since I upgraded to windows ultimate.
Same here. Annoying, isn´t it? When upgrading to ultimate I thought I was "taking a step forward"…

77.
How about you Dave? -

One more thing to notify when deciding whether to use glass or acrylic: 1500×600 piece of 6 mm glass weighs approx. 13,5 kg, same size 5 mm acrylic weighs 5,4 kg.
-
So it does, thank you Jamie!
-
Looks pretty much like Centaur to me.
-
Brilliant job, Shane, well done. Must have felt good to see it finished?
-
A warm welcome from Finland as well.

I should have spotted that myself… 😳 Dementia seems to show no mercy! Thanks a million Chris, much appreciated!

Pure class, Shane! Maybe one day I… nah, just dreaming 😀

Has been done, but thanks anyway.

I was ordered reflective letters a while ago, 200 in total and for tomorrow if possible. "Pick any font, just as long as it´s readable". I picked Stencil and couldn´t have made a better choise; that´s my speed font!
-
Something to begin with… hope it helps.
-
Thanks Jill, much appreciated. I´m responsible of the missing piece, took a sample to find matching vinyl. Should have taken the pic first, though…
-
Brilliant job Simon! Serves the purpose for sure, in this case you don´t have to like it, it´s enough if you get noticed and that will happen, no doubt about it! Having seen this and your previous jobs you´ve sent here for us to see, I have no other choice but to add you on my list of "The swedes whose work I admire". And for a finn this is hard to admit… 😀

Tjänare Ola och välkommen.

Well, when I said there is a reason for the pics taken from a distance; that was meant to be a joke… yes there was a few small creases in the hood (but the customer didn´t even notice), and since there is a little perfectionist living inside me, those small creases bugged me a bit. But the customer was happy, and still is, so that makes me happy as well.
Martin, I was 100% sure I can do the job properly when I took the it, but a first full wrap is still a first full wrap… And no, I haven´t done a wrapping course; there just aren´t many available over here. There was one a few months ago that I knew of, but I couldn´t fit it in my scedule. And no need to apologise, you didn´t sound nosey at all. (If you tried to, you must try harder… 😀 )
Shane, I used Avery MPI 1900 + 1030 lam.
-
Thank you gentlemen for your kind comments…
quote Matty Goodwin:Looks absolutely fine from what I can see Otto!Matt, there is a reason why the pics are taken from a certain distance… 😀

quote Dave Rowland:Warren, think we need to have a word with you lad
I´m afraid words no longer do any good. I say it´s time to use the belt. Sorry Warren, but it´s for your own good…
I had a two week vacation, I came back but my get up and go didn´t. It must have drowned… -
It´s a great and a warm day here, no clouds in the sky and a warm wind is blowing gently… and I´m indoors screenprinting tees all day 👿 And the tunnel dryer is on all day so I won´t get cold…so my playlist reflects current mood; Opeth, Volbeat, Devin Townsend and Mokoma. And volume… up, keeps the scariest customers out.

Thanks Chris, you saved my day!

quote Neil Davey:How about this lovely little Welsh place name……
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
http://www.llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerych … uk/say.php
…which reminded me of an old joke (wrong section for jokes, sorry); A young man met a girl of his dreams, called Wendy. He was so deeply in love with her that had her name tatooed in his willy; but when his little fellow was in… eh, sleeping mode, only letters W and y were to be seen. One day in a loo in a pub, a rastahaired man was urinating next to him, and he noticed letters W and y tattoed in this other man´s willy. So he asked "Excuse me, but I noticed you have letters W and y tatooed in your… you know, just like I have, and I was wondering whether you have a girlfriend called Wendy like I do?". "No", the other man replied, "you see, I used to work for the Jamaican bureau of tourism, and I had a tattoo made down there. My tattoo says "Welcome to Jamaica and have a nice day…"

quote Liam Pattison:But the main thing i would change is i would loose the largest ‘GO’ behind your main text. Does it say ‘gogogirlsigns.co.uk’ or ‘gogirlsigns.co.uk’
Is that a "GO"? I thought I saw "GG" (as GoGirl)? Either way, I think bigger question is does Joe Average see gogorlsigns.co.uk or signs.co.uk? Does poor Joe understand that GoGirl is a part of the site address or is it a separate phrase?
Anyway, I like the concept, it will definitely be noticed! -
Too low humidity may also cause spreading, although it should show with every colour.
-
I do stuff like that almost every day… 😳 But the bright side is that the money you get from these jobs is just as valid as the money that comes from posh jobs, right?
-
quote Mike Grant:I don’t know if I have got this one right, there is a square on the left side of the colour pallet that is white with a cross in it, is this what you are looking for????
If I remember correctly, that is "no fill". X4 recognises "registration black" if it appears in a file, but I don´t think registration black can be set as a colour in Corel. When you create a PDF from corel, crop marks show as registration black.

MemberJanuary 19, 2010 at 2:40 pm in reply to: can anyone tell me what left and right justified is?In Corel´s text tools there are options "full justify" and "force justify", works with any font. If you have several rows of text and only one word is in the last row, full justify doesn´t force the last row as wide as other rows but force justify does. Hope I managed to make some sense…

Thanks Jill, that is close enough and will do just fine.

Looks good, Simon. :appl:
But maybe a little reminder is in place; "full fart" does not mean the same in swedish that it does in english… -
quote Jillbeans:when I do an outline in Corel it adds about a million extra nodes.
Making an outline and converting it into curves in corel can be pure pain, but make a contour instead, works much much better.

I do pretty much the same way Hugh is doing. When I started I tried to minimize material waste but noticed very very soon that whatever I may save in materials, I lose many times in working hours. I also have a layout / plan file where I save texts as text, so if one day i have to update for example phone numbers I don´t have to think what on earth was that font called… and a separate cut file of the plan.

No, not in Scandinavia. But a real place anyway, in Newfoundland, Canada.

I have the same problem, although only when I zoom with the scroll of the mouse, it’s never occurred with the zoom-tool. The problem was there before I installed SP2. I usually don’t zoom with the scroll so I haven’t paid much attention to reasons to cause this.

quote Shane Drew:VW have not let us test drive a T5 yet. We went down on Wednesday for a test drive, and they had none that we could drive. They also wanted us to commit to purchasing one, before they would arrange getting a test drive organized. MB let us test drive the new models, without even discussing our trade-in price yet.
A bit unusual way to make business… can’t wait to tell this to our local vw-salesman, just want to see his face… 😀
-
Any particular reason you have narrowed your options down to these two?
I have 3 clients who have a Vito, and they are all quite fanatic Mercedes fans… so they won’t under any circumstances say a bad word of MB’s; also a friend of mine had two Vitos, first practically corroded in his hands in one year; surprisingly he bought another Vito and it turned out to be the most reliable car ever!
I also have clients who have (or had)VW’s, Transporters and Caddys mostly. Some of them have bought another mark, most still drive their VW’s, but almost all of them complain how many faults their cars have. I was quite surprised because I had always thought german cars (I mean cars made in Germany) as reliable ones.
No matter which mark you decide to buy, the good thing about buying a new car is the warranty, and now that the economical situation is what it is, it’s probably quite easy to negotiate lots of goodies with the car…? 😀 -
Yes, merry xmas everyone! It finally snowed here during the weekend so it seems we’ll get white christmas after all.
