Working late (again). Just loaded up Madness, Human League and George Michael…Am I a tragic or what ? :lol1:

What else had been on the player today??? Lots of James Brown, a bit of Metallica, Queens of the Stone age, David Bowie.

Yeah It’s been a long day – Still going 😥

Need good music to stay sane(r)

    So what you got on?

I found an old Fine Young Cannibals CD and have been listening to that in the truck.
Yesterday I painted 6 signs up in the garage and was stuck listening to WDVE on the radio. It’s mainly 70s Southern Rock (hate that) with a few good oldies thrown in.
Hate bands like Boston, Journey, Guns N Roses etc. Hate modern hip-hop autotune and rap crap.
I often listen to old bluegrass and I also loved alternative back in the day.
My other fave CD is my Velvet Underground one. Also love our local band The Clarks.

In the car I’ve been playing the Beatles Love album. It’s a remastered work by George Martin and his son and features a lot of their old classics slightly re-worked.

It struck me the other day while I was listening to "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" (written and performed by George Harrison) that George Harrison himself never heard the version I was listening to (puppy-eyes)

The wonders of modern technology that can breath new life into old creations and allow us to hear them in ways that they would never have sounded like when they were originally recorded

At the mo I’m refreshing my ear to The Wall (Pink Floyd) as I saw them perform it back in 1980 and 81 at Earls Court and I’m going to see Roger Waters perform The Wall in full in Manchester next May, can’t wait. 😀

May well be sold out, he’s playing the O2 around the same time and Dublin.

You can get tickets off the ticket sites but your going to have to pay way over the face value of them. Depends how much you want too see a classic concert.

Saw him perform Dark Side of the Moon and extracts from the Wall in Hyde Park a few years ago and again it was awesome.

    Hope you get tickets.

Went to see Al Green and Micheal McDonald form the Doobie brothers last night. Great concert. Even after all these years, they both have great voices. Al green walked on the stage and the place stood immediately, and stayed up most of the night.

So Al Greens greatest hits on at the moment.

It´s a great and a warm day here, no clouds in the sky and a warm wind is blowing gently… and I´m indoors screenprinting tees all day 👿 And the tunnel dryer is on all day so I won´t get cold…so my playlist reflects current mood; Opeth, Volbeat, Devin Townsend and Mokoma. And volume… up, keeps the scariest customers out.

This is the nearest thing I’ve found to an on-line jukebox. . . http://listen.grooveshark.com/

Its pretty nifty from the point of view that you can easily create play-lists which pop up again when you return to the page. (with Firefox enabled anyway, not sure about explorer)
Another good feature is its recommendation system called "Grooveshark Radio", which finds similar songs to those in a your playlist and queues them for playback.

So if, in the morning I know I’ve got a long day of designing ahead I just load it up & chill-out. 😎
