vehicle wrapping: citysigns
Posted by Simon Polakof on November 20, 2010 at 6:24 pmHi everyone,
Here’s our latest creation.
We used a temporary print vinyl called EuroMedia 3D in case anyone wonders. The print is meant to last 6-8 month.Tim Cockings replied 13 years, 5 months ago 13 Members · 19 Replies -

Great work Simon, certainly a vehicle folk will remember mate.
What does it say?
thanks for taking the time to post your work. π

Thanks everyone once more!
The text on the sides could be translated to:
"Do you also want to get noticed like us"
and on the back
"What do you think about 14000 people seeing your company in one day?"
Seeing that car wraps is such a new way of advertising over here in Sweden. The idea is then is to get them interested and to make them go to our web page, were they’ll find some more info. -
Nice. Did you make the colourful image or is it stock?

OK so there must be something wrong with me π³ I’ve looked at this about 5 times now, yes it looks a first class job, yes it will certainly get noticed I just can’t make my mind up if I like it or not π

And what exactly do you want us to do about that??? π π

Thanks Harry but at my age I think I am beyond any sort of help.
By the way I’ve looked again and still can’t decide :lol1: :lol1:

Your quite right Martin…. its fantastic bit of work, powerful colours that will turn heads which makes it a fantastic marketing tool.
But do you like it? no, I wouldn’t be seen dead driving it!
I guess its down to your image

I dont like most advertising wraps. and there is a difference…
we get cosmetic type wraps were carbon fibre, chromes and matt vinyls are used.
we get solid full colour wraps with company info. normally done for branding purposes.
then we get "in your face" advertising wraps. which is where i would say Simon’s wrap comes under. would i drive it to drop my kids off at school… or take the family out to dinner. no!
do i think it is a good advert, will be noticed and staff should use it to get from A-B… definately! (its them driving it afterall :lol1: ) seriously though…
OTT maybe… but a couple of those running around town/city… a week later and the brand will be known/recognised. which is the point… -
Brilliant job Simon! Serves the purpose for sure, in this case you donΒ΄t have to like it, itΒ΄s enough if you get noticed and that will happen, no doubt about it! Having seen this and your previous jobs youΒ΄ve sent here for us to see, I have no other choice but to add you on my list of "The swedes whose work I admire". And for a finn this is hard to admit… π

Ok so it seems that I am not alone here, but it does now pose other questions.
My biggest problem is that I tend to design stuff I like myself and I struggle if I don’t like what I have to do, I know I’m not a designer but should I be able to produce a high quality job like this without actually liking it??So perhaps Simon could give us a bit more detail about the job itself, did he know what he wanted before he started artwork wise or was he simply looking for something that would get noticed. What were his thoughts and how many different images did he try before he decided on this one.
As for image Dave, don’t think that’s the problem with me, I don’t have an image to live up to and wouldn’t mind driving the car as to me it’s just something that goes from A to B

Great to hear so many replays!
I truly appreciate all your kind words and thoughts!Martin:
The wrap is for our own company.
The idea behind the wrap is to get people in our town recognize our brand as something new/fresh and as someone that comes with "out of the box" designs.
I had to go through a couple of designs before nailing this one. I actually had to think twice before pressing the PRINT button, it’s after all as most of you write a design that is "really in your face". What made me doubt is the fact that it might be interpreted by some as if the only designs we can deliver are "way to much". But it’s a chance I’m willing to take.Jon Marshall:
I found it among some free vector pack. -
I like it if a sign maker can’t be outrageous who can π

Love it Simon!
Totally eye catching if not for the right reason!
No such thing as bad advertising!

I love it too. It says it all in wonderful vibrant colour and of course words. The vehicle is the perfect vehicle (sorry!) for promoting your business. how can you miss it?
Well done Simon.
