    hi
we use blank mouse mats cut up
the type that is covered with a printable cloth surface
the magic touch should supply them

they are the type that can be printed on using a colour laser copier
    and heat press.
some other bits worth a look.

    quote Rob Brearley:

another thing you can use and this is what we use in our print shop is reverse print it through a colour photocopier onto clear self cling material that comes with the card backing on which is thin enough to go through colour copiers or colour laser printers as you can print just one copy if you like if you like, nice little sideline as this pays a few small bills for very little time 🙂

hi rob where do you get the self cling material that comes with the card backing also any indication of price etc ?

just in case anyone comes accross similar problems

the answer i came up with is
save the ‘FLEXICUT” work as illustrator file “ai” on one machine and
put these on disc and transfer them for use in
on the other machine that has “FLEXISIGN” loaded

so all my files that are saved as flexicut files
i can access and transfer , well seems alright up untill now

( but my file is a flexicut, not flexisign)

    hi john
stick with your shirt printing gear dont get rid
    its a good little earner,
you dont want or need hundereds of items to print
a lot of people go wrong at that hurdle
(sub the big jobs out and keep the small orders
    for your self
    for instance
the stag and hen night and one off small orders will
be enough to run along side, your biz

remember this draw your self a triangle and put on each point these

by an ex m.p. i believe

    http://www.economist.com/world/europe/d … _id=687658

    from freddy in sunny scarborough

“IT IS another first for British industry and design: urinals with screens. They are called “Viewrinals”, and they feature a small screen at eye level displaying adverts which, one hopes, are not too distracting. Already positioned in roughly 100 nightclubs and bars, their makers, a firm called Digital View, hope to see them adopted everywhere.
Viewrinals are just the latest (and most peculiar) example of how moving pictures are replacing conventional advertising. Screens can now be found in supermarkets, cornershops, service-station forecourts, and so on. They can either generate revenue for the shop owners or promote specific products within the store.”

    hi dale/mike

we are in scarborough and have been looking for laser marking
machines etc, they all seem to be very expensive to get into,
we saw a lot of them at the education show at birmingham last year
i will try to post you any contacts we got,
i thought a machine that could handle long objects something with a front and rear door rather than a small box type thing might have more milage in it
i have a contact in china direct that make them,
the only thing is of course getting fingers round their throats if things go wrong
let me know what you find and i will keep in touch

try cutting a cardboard square template and place under the fleece
before you heat press , we use one 1/4 inch thick
    this raises it for printing
and leaves the rest below in good nick
you still have compression on the square
