Cadet second hand value
Posted by Stuart Whitehouse on July 27, 2006 at 7:15 pmDoes anyone know roughly how much 30inch Cadets are worth second hand? my Machine is 18month old and in perfect working order.
I’m totally happy with the machine I just want a 54inch version now, so I was just trying to work out how economical it would be to upgrade to the wider machine.
I did think about trading it in but if I can sell it myself would hopefully get more for it
I just wondered if anyone had seen one for sale or maybe bought one second hand for me to use as a guide so that I can advertise my machine.
thanks
stuart

New now they are around 7.5k so s/h without warranty? I woudnt want to pay more than 2K thats probably about the trade in value though. you could get more, I suppose, but not from anyone who had any knowledge.

Think he will get a fair bit more than £2k Peter 😮
Who did you buy it from? have you asked them what they would offer against the Cadet Plus? I would call all the Uniform distributors & see what they offer. There is a good market for 2nd hand machines so most should be pretty keen. If they don’t offer want you want put it in the Classified section of one of the sign mags. Or maybe have a go at selling it on here 😎

Of course Peter could be right, and if he is i’ll give you £2000 for it :lol1:

mind you don’t get hurt in the rush !!!! 😀
Stuart, do as Brian suggests, call several dealers and see what they’ll offer you.
All the best

Hi Nik
fantastic ! 😀
I’m working in a large conservatory at the moment which has been very hot of late. (under statement) 😮
I’ve cooled it down with an air con machine and its fine.
It cleans and sorts the heads out for itself when it gets too warm and never misses a beat.
I couldn’t be happier.
When I was looking at cadets v versacamm, I wasn’t sure which way to jump. I’m more than happy with the versacamm and glad I went with it.
At the time, there seemed to be more grumbles and complaints with the cadets. Even if I don’t use it for more than a week, it still fires up and prints without any problems.
Cheers,
Cheryl 😀 -
glad to hear its going well and your happy with your wee baby!!! :lol1: thats what i call mine…………. 😮

I called it a few unmentionable names when I first got it and it wasn’t baby ! :lol1:
So, what do you reckon a second hand machine is worth then – I’d say around £3000 – £3500 trade in against another machine and £4000 – £4500 private.
The second hand market is very good at the moment and the dealers are happy to trade up.

anyway dont have a clue what the second user market price is for a cadet….. 😕
i would have thought with the new ‘printing white facility’ printers will probably stoop lower than they should……….. 😕 or have i got it the wrong way round 😮nik

There’s a 12 month old versacamm on fleabay – up to £4700 with 3 days to go……..
I’ll take the cadet for £2000.01!
