Hi Chris, have you tried the ‘check for updates’ part of the help bit in composer??
Might give you a more up to date option than you have, or more than likely say you’ll have to up-grade to 5/6We’re running Omega 6 but I’ve got Omega 5 running on a windows 10 purely for some-one to look at files, but never tried the dongle with it nor output from it, so dont know if it will speak k to plotter properly

You can repeat horizontally first, as well as vertically,
if you are cutting them into individuals, whichever is easiest to keep track when checking/packing.Hope that makes sense.

MemberAugust 26, 2016 at 12:58 pm in reply to: How to create sequential numbering stickersJon, omega has an automatic sequential numbering option. Just use the #1 where you want to repeat, then tools-repaets/merge and then auto-number.Gives you plenty of options for repeating 1 2 3 4 or 01 02 03 04 001 002 003 004 etc……

£20.00 for a pack of 5 Hugh 😀
Thought i’d gotten a duff pack not hardened properly or something ’till i spotted the fan wasn’t working!!
F
-
Up until this wee problem with the fan our our Summa, a blade lasted ages and these were from Grafityp.
F
-
OOOps just noticed it’s obviously fan WASN’T working 😳
-
Scrap yard,
Our local one takes it,not a lot of value but better than nought, we usually leave it ’till weve got any ally to go at same time so not wasting time on a single run for not a lot of return.
F

Many thanks Kev, saved a lot of grief!!! 😀

Hi Gary, been having probs with e-mails so haven’t been getting notifications!!!
Terminal working spot on and worldpay have now added an over the phone payment method through their website as well, so all in all going great 😀

Hi Alan,
Dont have corel, was looking to buy pre done fonts to save time!!
Was looking for some of them fancy fonts that you see on race/stock cars,
but do realise that a lot of them are airbrushed/painted on. 🙁 -
Hi Phil, looking for photoshop plug ins!!!! TA
-
Dont see much of them on the gom Derek!!
go even! 😳
-
used Oracal 651 series clear Rob, for my business partners i-pad, he says it’s been spot on.
-
Covered an i-pad with standard clear vinyl, no probs or touch screen interference
-
Pulled the plug on our one a couple of times for the same scenario & powered up again no probs

It’s a free proper terminal with an app for a smartphone which links with the terminal via blutooth, so you can take it anywhere, with a phone signal of course :lol1:It’s run by Worldpay. 65p per debit or 3.3% per c/card.
Seems to work fine, receipt thru the phone via text or e-mail or there’s a pad for written receipts.

Which version Steve, there is heaps of them!! 😕
-
Spot on Steve thanks very much, saved a lot of hassle 😀
What was the font Steve in case any more vehicles with different ship names are required and i’ll just buy it??
Cheers,

Thought it might be one of those Jamie, i’ve got BH 93 which is a bit similar,
but obviously not of use!! 🙁Cheers for the input.

What printer/cutter you using Margaret??
F
-
Oooops, had a closer look at that link Martin.
Looks like it’s a double reservoir thing,so looks like Dave was spot on 😳 -
That air reservoir is only a connection between your compressor and the tank, there wont be any coolant going through that (!)
F
-
Here you go Colin, this is the coolant we use. 😀
-
Fred McLean
MemberAugust 24, 2012 at 3:14 pm in reply to: Trying to source Glossy Banner Material, advice?Grafityp
-
think it might be the tank that holds the actual coolant he’s after Dave.
That’s what i thought he’s looking for anyway (!) -
I only use the mist cooling system when cutting ally, haven’t tried stainless yet!!!!
For engrving ally and stainless i just give the material a squirt of WD40 now & again to give the cutter a bit of lubrication.
F
-
Cromwell Apex sometimes do special offers on cutters, as low as £4 each if you catch them at the right time 😀
-
im running artpath which is part of gerber omega
-
If your using the supplied blocks they sit on the bed of the router, if coming off the material use a bit of 3mm foamex or similar.
The Z& Y axis motors are the same if you swap em around to check if they both work properly.F
-
Did notice 🙁
or not as the case may be 🙁
-
Thanks for that Cheryl, will have a look in a mo. 😀

Did your sidekick get something sorted Gareth??

Colour spaces!!!?????
Just a novice on the PS side of things Dave!!!
As far as i can see the settings are identical apart from in CS2 there is additional conversion options which PS6 hasn’t got (hot) -
Dont know what you mean by that Colin, but the settings in the colour settings menu appear to be the same!! 🙁
F
-
will differ on material & liner thickness, but wouldn’t have thought 25mm!!!
Just opened a roll of thickish over laminate……150 mm dia.
-
was looking on wiki the other day and clicked on plexiglass i think it was, says heating it put stress fractures into it so there is nothing you can do, i think it did mention cleaning it after with anything but water would highlight them!! 😀
-
By George, that’s the one John, thanking you. 😀
-
Thanks Kevin, have done already, a bit wary of swiping one off the net and was wondering if there was one already on the go here. 😕

Hi Rob, didn’t mean to infer your work was ‘just translucent vinyl’ was saying translucent in case any-one pitched in with that option.
Just wish i had the time and a customer willing to pay for top quality signage like that 😀
F
-
Well for some reason it’s fired up on the drop down menu 😕
Cherrs guys.
F
-
Cheers for that Rob, i’ll have a look.
It’s going to be full coverage of large windows, they want an over-all effect rather than just amber translucent vinyl look!!
F
-
Thanks for that Martin, it’s there in the drop down menu but isn’t highlighted (hot)
I guess it’s a separate plug in 🙁
-
Thanks for that Mark, will do.
Been involved in the business for 23 years and never heard of it, is it a recent innovation??

MemberOctober 14, 2011 at 10:31 am in reply to: can anybody reccomend any sights on how to make lightboxes??Martin, you can buy ally extrusions that actually make up the whole box, no bending/welding require
Main side extrusion-single or double sided, beading that holds the panels in/strengthening rib section and corner section. 😀

MemberOctober 13, 2011 at 1:13 pm in reply to: can anybody reccomend any sights on how to make lightboxes??Totally agree Rob, unless you’re set up for doing box after box………just as economical buying one in, espicially from Kestrel, their prices are very good. 😛

Sign Post, Steel Posts & Aluminium Sign Channel from Signpost …

core holders from grafityp,we’re just waiting for a couple for our 1304
-
yeah its a print but printing onto clear will be a bit wishy washy 😮
i think there are l/box vinyls but i would think a few test prints would be in order.F
-
It’s not a pure white acrylic your after Martin, it’s an opal one, you get different grades of light transmission, and you get translucent vinyl if you can cut what is going onto the panel

MemberJuly 5, 2011 at 10:10 am in reply to: Just built a Workbench but need a worktop for it…We’ve got a bit of toughened, beveled 8mm glass 3m x 1.2m never looked back, excellent for cutting onto, used to find anything else we’d used previous ended up with tram lines that your knife would pick up on and wreck whatever you were cutting! And no Dan it doesn’t squeak to death when used 😀
-
Alan, you can get Y shaped brackets from signfix i think that has a couple of slots to take jubilee type screw banding, you can also get the banding and screw housings to cut to length yourself for various post diameters.

Get someone to cnc a 10mm perspex or 18mm ply template depending on how much of them you’ve got to do and using a trimming router bit with a bearing zip round about them.
We’ve done quite a few shaped correx boards this way and leaves a wee bit of a furry edge, just needs a brush with a piece of sandpaper 😀

MemberMarch 23, 2011 at 12:09 pm in reply to: Mutoh 38 not printing yellow, please advise?Engineer told me murky ink in the damper might be that it’s knacked!!
half to 3/4 full is okay but if it’s badly discoloured it might need replacingOr as said could be the pump not sucking ink through from the carts to keep everything clean and preesurised. If you’ve got a syringe unplug the ink line from the pump to the capping station, park the heads over the station and suck through.once done try a nozzle check and see how you go!!
Might narrow down the problem, if manual sucking solves it , it probably means the pump is gone 🙁

No idea what the score was with the change-over, always willing to give a bit of lee-way if they tell you there’s problems and not just ignore you 🙁

Hobday are the cheapest i’ve came across for run of the mill wires/pockets and fixings for acrylic displays 😀

Jim, Anything on the table will affect the ball 😮
Cant think of any way of getting an image onto it apart from the substance they use for the baulk line and semi circle.

We priced a similar job last year, the council wanted wind loading charts and the like!! after saying bunting took down a lampost somewhere else in the country 😮
-
As far as i’m led to believe replacing like for like shouldn’t need permission.
But you never know with councils so don’t quote me on that.I think the last time we were involved in planning per. there was a section which was going on about renewing it every 5 years or so!! Another coffer gathering exercise methinks 😮
-
Didn’t think you’d being doing it Mo, just saying i thought your 15 metres was a bit on the light side
-
doing them in m runs(if you got the job of course)i would add at least 2m for wastage, c**k ups etc
-
grfityp do printable chrome @ £7.50/m,610 wide, but £150 sounds way too cheap with a/work ink & prep time!!!
And prob 15 m wouldn’t be enough unless you’re very trusting of your printer to do them in longish runs!!
