Anyone have a latish version of Omega they are selling?

Been running 2.5 for years and never been offered an upgrade, now its cheaper to buy new 850.00

Spent over 25k already this year and just looking to cut vinyl as I am used to it.

Having to upgrade computers just adding to the list.

If anyone knows if I can run version 2.5 on windows 10 it would be appreciated
and yes I know about signlab and its much cheaper and probably better but after 15 years looking to stay with the same software!

Hi Chris, have you tried the ‘check for updates’ part of the help bit in composer??
Might give you a more up to date option than you have, or more than likely say you’ll have to up-grade to 5/6

We’re running Omega 6 but I’ve got Omega 5 running on a windows 10 purely for some-one to look at files, but never tried the dongle with it nor output from it, so dont know if it will speak k to plotter properly

Chris for years I ran windows 98 & windows xp on a windows 7 pc using vmware player. I ran 2 virtual pcs because I was still using Inspire Pro which was the predecessor to Flexi & photoshop cs1
It’s easy to set up a virtual machine, windows do actually have one but at the time my research seemed to show that vmplayer was a better option. That might have changed now but worth you checking into as it would save you having to spend any more money 😆

Inspire had a parallel port dongle which worked fine with the virtual machine, I had them both set up on a separate hard drives but I could have used a partition on an existing hdd if I had wanted to. You do need to install the operating system with vmware virtual machine so you would need a copy of the operating system you wanted to use.
