    Hi guys/gals

Ive been asked to make just white acrylic sign front for a light box 6000mm by 700mm for a local John Deere company and was just wondering if there is any guidelines i have to follow as its a franchise. Also as this is the first light box Ive ever done. I’m i right in thinking i will have to get it printed on clear?

It’s not a pure white acrylic your after Martin, it’s an opal one, you get different grades of light transmission, and you get translucent vinyl if you can cut what is going onto the panel

I would also try and get a copy of brand guidelines as it’s a long established brand that has been through many logo changes over the years.

What I believe is the current logo is pretty straight forward, so would think you could do it in translucent cut vinyl.

Yeah sorry Fred i meant to say opal.

It was more the size and the exact colour (pantone) i was after really. i didn’t just want to put any green coloured vinyl on it. this is the logo they want but is this logo not printed? that is why i though i would have to go down the printed route.

yeah its a print but printing onto clear will be a bit wishy washy 😮
i think there are l/box vinyls but i would think a few test prints would be in order.

You may find the logo is allowed to be reproduced as 2 colours without the shading.

I would get brand guidelines and see what they allow.

First light box I did (replacing the vinyl on the existing acrylic)

I used metamarks MD-T, and looked the part. Sadly though have 1/2 a roll left and not had another enquiry for one! sods law for ya.
