I think it’s one of those products that people are surprised by the price, probably cos it’s full of holes :lol1: .
-
I charge £140 fitted as a standard price but I don’t use contavision I use the vinyl strip method instead

quote Warren Beard:I charge £140 fitted as a standard price but I don’t use contavision I use the vinyl strip method instead
£140 a square metre 😮
-
Think Warren was talking about the whole job George not the square metre price :lol1: Mind you a lot of back windows probably aren’t much more than a square metre.
-
My stepson did the rear window of his Picasso last month.
We reckoned on charging £80 + VAT for a rear window.
-
the whole job you wolly :lol1:
I use Metamark bus wrap vinyl as it has a black adhesive, laminate and cut and weed, fit to window and trim.
if everybody increases their prices we all make more money, come on lets do it 🙄 (!)
-
Blimey guys, have you seen how much decent contra vision is with the matched over laminate? it’s £30 for a 2 year material…… I wouldn’t do a back window for less than £100 designed printed laminated and fitted!
-
but what about buying in a whole roll and then for it to sit on the shelf?
-
I’ve done a few small windows by cutting my own holes and weeding them and it takes ages, even using another vinyl over the top and pulled it back off to pull out strips of holes it takes ages 😉
The last windows I did using this method were the very back windows of an older Zafira and I charged £75 to a friend, would have been more for a normal customer.
