Rob i practicaly threw the Mactac Swatches at them and hid the kpmf ones, but thats what they chose, and they had to pay for it, not cheap as you know.

Thanks for the great feedback guys. It’s really appreciated 😀

Rob yep sorry was going to call you Weds but the last minute they decided to go with the same vinyl as they chose for the A-board which was KPMF (I’ll post the full specs in morning) and they wanted it done ASAP. thankls for all your help though and next time i’ll keep you posted.
The only reason for choosing that product was they had the colours that the client wanted. It felt like a nice vinyl and was a dodle to apply ( lets see how it lasts)

The Main fascia was done in Metallic Bronze dry fitted to their existing fascia. ( I did try to reduce the size of the Fonts but the husband insisted that it “Filled the whole space up” so thats what he got.

The frosted came out of the K71100 range and it was supposed to be the frosted pink , but i couldn’t see any pink in it. trimmed to width and backed up, applied wet with Overlay spray instead of water and fairy. went down ok ish, i did have a couple of crinkles in it which i think i picked up off the backing paper rather that in the application, it is a very thin very tare-able vinyl a si found out towards the end 😥 , but i got round that by talking him into having the 2″ gap all round which made the job look better than having it trimmed in to the corners (which he wanted)and got rid of my tare 😛

The door he wanted done at the last minute and luckily i brought my off cut of etch, but it was unbacked up, so i wet it and using my felt squeegee i just slapped it on 😆 that came out great no creases at all. then i just trimmed it all up after using my 2″ strip of forex that for some strange reason i had in the van (lucky that saved the day)

I got a lot of confidence in that now and next time i think i will try it dry, i was just very nervous to start, Hopefully i don’t get a call in the morning saying it’s on the floor 😥

Thanks Kev , it did cross my mind on how accurate the cut would be, i think i’ll run it through my cutter and square it off (make sure it tracks straight first )

I think i want a big gap , i’ll just have to talk them into it 🙂

    Peter
What i find sometimes with reg marks on windows is that the damn things sometimes come off, and u loose the mark , so what i have started doing now is on the outside using my drywipe pen, putting a dab on it from the outside so if it does coem off , you still have a mark there.

    If that makes anysense.

    p.s I also like it 😆

I used a stanley with a new blade on reynabond the other day, it did take quite a few cuts but tbh it wasn’t a problem and it produced a realy clean cut. But i don’t know if reynabond is softer than dibond (?) and after i used a cool deburing tool that i got nearly 18 years ago during my apprentiship to debur it (i’ll post pics later of it as it realy is a cool easy tool to use to debur with) the edges were splinter free.

I’d also like to point some big Cudos towards Andrew at vectorwise, i have used his services on a number of ocassions now where i’m not to good at vectorising images as some of you may have sussed out by now 🙂 but the quality of work that is recieved (always so far well within the alloted time stated on the order form i may add) and the time saved the service is well worth the money.
But today Andrew in my opinion outdone himself with the quality of the work sent back to me. My customer came in with a picture of 2 feathers tied up with a ribbon and broach, ( very much like a native american indians sqaw feathers), anyway i sent the pic off to Andrew to see what he could do at around mid-day and this evening i recieved back a stunning piece of artwork ready to be fed into my cutter. Hopefully i can do it credit when applying the vinyl.

Anyway thanks again Andrew kep up the good work , and if anyone hasn’t tried out Vectorwise yet, please do because i don’t think you will be disapointed.

It’s one of the holders that screwed to the machine so u cant adjust it.

Yep i have checked the metal rollers they are tight , but i have given them a good clean. The pinch rollers do look a little worn, i’ll call Roland on monday and order a set.

After cleaning the metal ones it is much better but not quite right.

I have also noticed that the vinyl holder at the back is not sitting square with the machine so after tracking out the loose stuff i pull off, once it then picks up straight off the roll it is then pulling it off as well,i’ll have to look and see how to re-align it .

    Thanks Guys

A man asked his wife what she’d like for her birthday. “I’d really love
to be ten again” she replied
    wistfully.

On the morning of her birthday, he arose early, got up, made her a nice
big bowl of Frosties and then took her off to their local theme park.
What a day! He put her on every ride in the park: the Death Slide, the
Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there
was. Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park. Her head was
reeling and her stomach felt upside down. Right away, they journeyed to
a McDonald’s where her loving husband ordered her a Happy Meal with
extra fries and a refreshing chocolate shake.

Then it was off to the cinema to see the latest blockbuster, complete
with a hot-dog, popcorn, a big fizzy drink, and a huge bag of M&M’s,
her favourite sweets. What a time she had! Finally she wobbled home
with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his
precious wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, “Well, Darling, what
was it like being ten again?”

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. “You
idiot”, she replied. “I meant my dress size…”

And the moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he’s still
    going to get it wrong

Ok here u go ladies a bit of payback for you…..

Why do men whistle when they’re sitting on the toilet?
Because it helps them remember which end they need to wipe.

What has eight arms and an IQ of 60?
Four guys watching a football game.

    What’s a man’s idea of honestly in a relationship?
    Telling you his real name.

Why are all dumb blonde jokes one liners?
    So men can understand them.

Why did God create man before woman?
Because you’re always supposed to have a rough draft before creating your masterpiece.

female says to male,I’d insult you, but you’re not bright enough to notice.

Not all men are annoying. Some are dead.

Why are vibrators better than men?
