You’re absolutely right about CS2. The LiveTrace function for vecorisation is simply the best on the market!!! It’s so easy to use and adjust… 😛Cheers,

thanks a lot John & Nancy. I asked Pirtek-people here in Belgium for the logo and they said i would receive it in seconds but five days later i’m still waiting for it.
This morning i needed it to cut it out for one of their representatives so i needed it very quickly… and then there was the boards 😀Thx again,
Bart -
thanks peter! Some nice ideas in there.

i use soft rubber mats (3 pieces of 150x100cm) to cover up my working table. They have a thickness of 10mm and are clear. Really nice to cut in. Also very good to lay a panel on, because they almost ‘suck’ the panel to the rubber and give a lot of grip. 😀
Here in Belgium they use them also as a curtain (in smaller parts…) in the freezer department of large stores…

thank you evrybody,
“bvba Steven van den Bossche” is the name of the firm and “schrijnwerkerij” stands for ‘cabinet-maker / joinery’. “hout” means ‘wood’…

MemberJanuary 5, 2006 at 3:46 pm in reply to: advice please applying contravision onto windows?Hi evrybody,
tomorrow i have to repair a one-way vision because it starts curling on the edges. It was clear laminated.
I’ll first try to put it under the window seal. If that isn’t possible i’ll lay a clear vinyl stroke on the edge totally around the print. I hope that will prevent water to get under the print…
Shane: i have another problem with clear laminated contravision. I sell contravision to my clients because they still want to see through their window. When it is clear laminated it gives a really blurry effect from the inside. You don’t see clearly through the window but you see all vague shapes instead of cars 😕
Is that normal or am i doing something wrong? :lol1:Cheers,

3M has a white reflective vinyl for banners. I can’t remember the name of it though :lol1:
I’ve used it a couple of years ago. Looked really cool but was horrifying expensive 😮 😮 😮 -
thanks for the positive comments!
Shane, it is indeed printed on clear cast vinyl with and finished with a cast laminate.

john,
City of Oudenaarde, beautiful town but…
OK enough complained…
time to cheer up… its almost WEEKEND!!! 😀 😀 😀 -
hi phill
I know how frustrating that is. City council asked for a design for four large exterior signs. I made a whole study with exact measurements, made a design and a detailed quote…
They’ve put out a public tender completely based on my quote with all technical details. I’ve lost the job to another firm. Ok, sh*t happens…
Three months later the signs were erected with exactly my first design…
I’ve sent them a small invoice for designwork (50,00 EUR) and I received a letter from them two weeks later. You couldn’t really speak of a design was there explanation (:) why did they use it??? If I wanted I could go to a lawyer (chat.) …
Really p*sses me off 👿 👿 👿 You pay them al those taxes and then they treat you like dirt… 👿 👿 👿 -
LOL *rofl*

hey bigojj, fantaaaastic work!
Did u also make the silvergrey panels behind the circles? If so, are these dibond trays? Do i see a light behind teh first circle?
As Rob would say: “just me being nosey…” 😉Cheers,
Bart -
thx a lot guys for the explication! I’ll keep it in mind for the next tray…
-
i think my main problem is that the returns of the tray are not bended properly in a corner of 90°. They always have the intention to return to their original corner…
How can we bend these straight? 😕 -

thx u all for the reactions!
Rob, about the scaling down. I tried it but the text “hout – pvc -aluminium” (“hout” means wood in flemish) then becomes too small to read easily. Good critics though. I like it when i can learn from pro’s!😎
-
Thx a lot Peter! 😀
I can use that! -
can i use my “signboy” as the picture or do u need a real one?
-
thx nicnaxpc! The logo (or u call it ‘brand’) was designed by a graphic designer. But i did the design of the van. Love it when it’s not overcrowded on the side of a van…

MemberApril 21, 2005 at 9:09 am in reply to: help please ive applied vinyl to car and ive got bubbles?Maybe you should wait 15 minutes before removing your application tape… It gives the glue more time to attach to the underground. Which makes it far more difficult to “micro”-lift the pink vinyl and to create the tiny bubbles…
(Sorry for my poor English… 😳 )

At your request, Rob!
