    Hi evrybody,

i have a customer who wants to clean his van properly before we apply vinyl… 😀 hurrah for that 😀
He was also talking about waxing the van… Is that a good idea or will it give me problems applying the foil??? 😮

    Thx for the advice,
    Bart

Very bad idea. Clean – yes. Waxed – No!

    Regards,
    Cheryl 🙂

Nooooooooo! No wax at all :lol1:
It would be nice if the vans I do would at least turn up washed and clean but never mind 😥

Me too Jayne. Did a bus today, owner needed it back on the road for the evening tour run, but delivered it to me unwashed and filthy.

Took me an hour extra just to clean the darn thing before I could start.

Still wanted it finished asap tho.

I don’t have to much of a problem with customers and dirty vans, nearly all of them are freshly washed when they arrive, might have something to do with the fact that I tell them all to wash them and I have a Customer Notice on the door which says I will add a minimum of £30 to the cost of any job where I have to spend my time cleaning.

My customers always say ” I washed when I left but the road is soooo dirty, it must’ve got dirty driving it here” Yeah right 😮
I like your style though, I think I will start charging to clean dirty vans

Jayne I just got fed up with customers taking it for granted that I would clean the van, a few even comented that I hadn’t made a very good job of it in the areas where there were no graphics so I just made myself up a notice one day, since then as I say I get very few dirty vans in fact some people ask me where the nearest car wash is so they dont have to drive far.
Obviously I still wipe all the areas where graphics are going with IPA but at least I dont spend an hour cleaning.
