dont think its the blend just the output colour of the yellow, straight from flexi to my roland would give similar results so I always import eps to signlab and set rvw colours before printing just work out whatver works for your setup

in flexi mouse wheel moves up and down but hold shift now it moves side to side and hold control it now zooms in and out.

MemberJanuary 15, 2014 at 4:36 pm in reply to: Can anybody help me with the colour settings in flexisign?Right people with more knowledge tham myself may have better answers for you but in my experience colours will vary on screen between differing programs and the same file in the same programme will look different on different pcs due to the screen calibration (or lack of) therefore you have no way of guaranteeing what you look at and what your customer looks at in terms of files you have sent them being correct.
So in summary always use colour values and advise customers the image they look at on screen may not be correct.
In flexi you can add pantone colours to the colour swatches which will help output to print but is not a guarantee in itself.

MemberJanuary 15, 2014 at 3:14 pm in reply to: Can anybody help me with the colour settings in flexisign?so again you dont need to worry
if outsourcing to a printer you just specify the colours you want the printer to reproduce ie pantone refs
or if sending to your own printer change the colours in the output/rip software (i use versaworks and have a swatch with versaworks colour refs which I can change in signlab)

as Chris sais
my guess is the chap you sub too has only one laminator (like me) so changing to white and back to clear can be a pain but I just laminate reverse prints to clear with white using wet app on the workbench – takes a day to dry but no problem.

MemberNovember 28, 2013 at 5:15 pm in reply to: does anyone have advice on moving a sign with locators?David
your idea should work – remove the letters and place an accurately cut oblong template over the holes ensuring the bottom or top of the template are level as you will need to use this same edge to check the template is level in the next room. I would be tempted to use apptape or paint mask both of which are fairly low tack.
Alternatively the male locators on the rear often have a pointy end so that you can realign the letters/logo on paper on a bench and with a firm press make an indent in the paper which you can mark thereafter with a pencil cross.
Hope that makes sense
