it could be my imagination, but does anyone else find Versaworks 3.3.0 really really slow to react?
When you are in settings and there are about ten or so copies, the reaction time to changing a setting seems interminable. You press a key and wait for ages for the display to register.
It is not as if the display of versaworks is any good, in fact it is terrible, as has already been discussed.
So why should this be? I am sure it never used to be like that.
Or could I have something in a queue somewhere or some preference files I should be deleting?
I never have more than two or three jobs on the board at one time, so it cant be that.
    Any thoughts?
    Simon.

I had a similar problem with signlab but much improved since ive put Kaspersky on my PC so maybe a gremlin was running around the background eating all the processing power 🙁

There was an issue with one of the releases of VersaWorks, during the version 3, where it became very slow if you had multiple copies of the print. It got better with a later release. Currently I am on 5.1.1 and it still suffers from, in my view, excessive delay when making changes while multiple copies are specified. I suppose to a large extent it is applying the changes to each iteration of the print.

I tend to set all my settings while I have 1 copy, including getting the media width and then finally select the number of copies.

If I have to change settings for any reason, I drop the copies to 1, make the changes and then bump it up to the number I need.

Yeah thanks Neil I am now using that as a workaround – make all the changes before bumping up the copies. Seems a bit lame though.

Think you need to update Simon.
If you go on the Roland DG forum they will usually give you a direct link to the latest version.
