OK I am looking for Brushed Aluminum, gold and Polish Silver and gold

But here is the thing, I need this media to be printable and not just cad material. I have found all 4 on MetaMark but they are around 11.50 PM + Vat

    http://www.metamark.co.uk/Pages_dv/mdbs.htm

Expensive, but oddly I cannot find any similar materials on Grapityp and APS

I have found this on MDP but do not believe it is printable

Any ideas of other suppliers as this is an experiment and I dont want to spend 280 quid on 5 meters each of the four metallics digital print media

    Cheers

Possibly but I am worried about profiling the media

Im still learning and would rather get the media profiles from the experts

    APS products:

    Metallised Films:

    Brushed Silver: APS LC5111
    Brushed Gold: APS LC51121
    Gloss Silver: APS LC511
    Gloss Gold: APS LC5120

I think there still around £10 PLM, and believe you can print on them – But ring and check!

I too have had success printing onto CAD vinyl before without problems.

You can print on normal media – just make sure you clean it using IPA beforehand (easily done using a soft lint free cloth soaked in alcohol). I usually load the vinyl into the machine first then run out the length of vinyl to be printed. You can then wind it back in whilst cleaning the vinyl. This gives good results.

You can experiment using existing profiles for white and clear vinyls.

Don’t be too worried about profiles. We find that on most vinyl they don’t seem a lot different. We use MD5 profile for most things and thats fine.
