Up :yes1:
Methinks people are trying to get noticed a bit more during this "downturn" so it’s a case of either an updating sign, vehicle livery and even the odd banner. Have had a couple of people who have been made redundant and are using their payout to set up on their own, so shop front, and delivery van jobby.

You should put under the number plate a little notice stating the vehicle is registered as a white van so if the boys in blue do a PNC check, it will be ok and the driver won’t be getting pulled up every five minutes 😀

We use aluminium channel, as fixed onto road signs, onto the wall then use the stainless steel clamps, again as used on road signs, to clamp the posts to the rails.
ASD Metal Services will be able to supply all components, including the posts, if you need them.

Just had an email from printmax which reads:
You may have recently heard that B&P Lightbrigade Group Ltd have unfortunately become another casualty to the current Global Crisis and have been forced into administration with immediate effect.
Although printMAX haven’t sold Uniform machines or been associated with B&P Lightbrigade Group Ltd for sometime, however, we do have years of experience in supplying and supporting Uniform products and we will endeavour to assist all customers to enable your machines to keep running. We have secured access to the original Uniform Ink direct from the manufacturer. AGFA ink for the Anapurna’s will be in stock shortly.
Our objective is to minimise the impact this will have on your business, and keep you printing. If you have any questions please give us a call and we will provide as much assistance as we can.
Looks like that’s it for B&P 🙁

Aluminium engine in this beast melted. Was a large lump of ali underneath! Bear in mind as well that the fuel tank was full ready for a trip to France so it was like a furness when it went up. The car park surface has been burnt away as well. I do a lot of work for this company and really feel for the owners over this. He had to lay 6 men off two weeks ago due to the "downturn" so I think plod will be having a few words with these 😕

quote Mike Grant:Marcella, so I can blame you for chopping my thumb up today, in sympathy for your pain. I was trimming a poster using a safety ruler but cut along the wrong side of it and my blade wandered along a previous cut in my cutting mat and ran over the edge of the rule and sliced my thumb. That is a very rare thing for me to do as I am very aware usually when cutting things. 😳quote Jillbeans:Dammit I cut myself TWICE today in the same place!

One thing to try is printing a pantone chart then whichever one is printed in the right shade you are after, alter the thing you are printing to that. May look well out on screen but at least you know what you are going to get in the end.

quote Shane Drew:uncertainty has now hit Japan.
In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.
Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song, while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived.
While Samurai Bank is soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.
Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal.

Did some for model artics some years ago for a chap that sold them to transport companies so they could give them away at Christmas as a present for their big clients. Printed them on the Gerber Edge so if you have someone near you with an edge, have a word with them or put something in the quotes, sub contract forum.
Dave
-
Hi Mike, Yup, use them regularly. They subcontract all their work out to other companies like DHL, City Link etc. They get good prices for passing on all their work on and pass the savings onto their customers so everyone wins.

Ain’t at work at the mo but have got some vectors and will post them tomorrow if you haven’t got sorted. As to the vinyl, ensure you cover the vinyl plus a nice margin with an anti slip covering otherwise you might find yourself in the same custody suite for injuring someone when they slip on it :lol1:
