• Gerber Omega Problem

Posted by David Lowery on January 16, 2009 at 11:11 am

We are running Omega 1.56 and today for some strange reason, the control handles on text, boxes etc are huge!

I have screenshots of this if I have not explained what is happening clearly but can’t put them in this forum.

    Dave,

In Composer, go to tools/options on the menu bar.
In the options dialog box, click on the "detail" tab.
Once there, you can modify the size of the "selection rectangle handle size".

Be sure to select an object before you go to the options menu, so you can change the size, click on apply, and see if the new size is ok.
If not, change the size to what is suitable, then before you click on "ok" make sure you click on "preferences" and "save all pages".

    That should cure it.

    Best regards,

Thanks George but when I go into Tools, Options, Detail, I aint got the selection rectangle handle size option 😕

I am running version 1.56 so this option may be available on later ones but not this one 👿

Sorry it didn’t work out for you, with all the different versions it’s hard to remember what was on the previous ones. I’m on 2.61.

Bit drastic, but have you tried re-installing? I’m not sure if that will do it, as you might have to uninstall first (and I seem to remember that there is a utility for clearing all the installation settings as well, but I might be wrong).

Only other suggestion is to send gerber an email.
They are usually good in replying.

I cannot post email addresses here, but I’m sure you’ll find them on their website.

    Cheers,
