Moral to the story …. or in your case "stories" …. buy cheap keyboards!! Some peeps might say stop drinking … but I wouldn’t recommend that.

We’ve got through quite a few keyboards, remote controls, headsets, batteries and telephones … since we had kids :lol1: From soggy keyboards and sticky keys to hundred piece electrical components puzzles …. no matter how much we try to keep kids away from certain things you can guarantee during the one split second they get near its like Friday 13th everyday!! We now buy cheapy keyboards, they work fine … Tescos … "every little helps" …. No I’m not on commission!!

We had a few inches between Wednesday night and yesterday, its been great, I love the snow, going out and putting the first foot prints in the fresh snow in your garden. Kids have really loved it and they both had the day off on Friday from school/nursery and we made a big snowman … although we had to make him twice because just as we finished him, our 2 year old son thought it would be good to charge at Mr Snowmansantatranta (kids named him) and knocked his head off :lol1:

But, its nearly all gone now, literally nothing left 🙁

If you are obstructing the footpath/road you will find that you probably need to get permission from your local council … they have to approve it first … and they charge you … its basically a permit. Although every council is different?

Im sure it is just something really simple, its a good client so no probs us going back out .. just awkward with times as its in a shopping centre … can only go between 9pm and 8am.

I was concerned with the thought of …. what if the strip has blown, ok we replace no worries… but then what if the others start to go too over a short period of time … in long run would work out that the trips going beck to replace would in the end make the labour on the job non existent , so to speak … I guess Im talking sort of hypothetical in a way with this, as you said Rob could get there and its just come loose?

Hello thanks for the replies all. We are going over to the job on Wednesday to have a look and replace the strip so will let you all know then. The leds were from Ashby and we paid per strip … what ever length a strip is … not sure without checking with Steve to be honest? 😳

:lol1: we use the big tesco bags that you can buy when we do our big shop instead of using plastic carrier bags ….. you get more in them, the handles dont snap and the sides dont split … I feel better about not using the carrier bags 😛 Then every now and then the plastic carrier bags that we have accumulated I take back and post in the return box thingy they have.

Yoghurt pots, bottle lids, and quite a few other bits and bobs we send over the nursery for the kids … they build models etc out of them.

Business waste … the backing paper is the main pain in the butt.

I like recycling, I do all the paper and card, materials, plastics, glass, wood, grass/garden clippings, metals …. whatever we can. I think its good to at least do something, I used to hate throwing away so much waste. Its so easy to recylce too.

The problems we have with work waste is the backing paper, tacking tape and the weeded vinyl ….. still not found a use for these yet?

It was 5mtrs, not a lot at all. We have actually gone for the mactac now, ordered and sorted. Spandex we would have to have ordered 50mtr of 1220mm …. dont need all that!!

Yes I suppose printing would have been a good option …. something to look at next time maybe.
