Does Macsign have a production management window before you go to cut? There you should be able to choose which cutter to send the data to.

MemberNovember 25, 2010 at 11:40 am in reply to: can anyone tell me what a strut board is please?Generally they’re called ‘Rudder struts’. We make them out of 5mm Foamcore cut to whatever height you need. Cover the straight edge with 25mm Hook velcro. Then apply a corresponding strip of velcro to the back of the cut-out/panel you want to stand up. Offer up the rudder strut to the velcro. Works really well.

Line by line at first mate. Take your time and teach yourself to recognize the characters and or numbers which can be a pain, so you know when to slow down without removing it from the backing sheet.

No worries, just been sent the logo by the client who said they didn’t have it!

MemberJuly 3, 2009 at 11:07 am in reply to: Are some vinyls better for reducing air bubbles? Can be a range of things that leave bubbles in vinyl. Bad squeegee’s can leave trace lines, over-lapping application tape can leave straight lines as can multi layered vinyl graphics. I would say the main course is that you are not over lapping your squeegee motion or not enough pressure.

Hi Alan
If you want some silicon release paper. Contact a company with a mount shop / laminator. They throw 100’s of metre’s of the stuff away every week.

Already got that one, just wondered if the Vitara was any different.

Dust down the substrate then spray with Rapidtack. Roll the vinyl out face down on the substrate. This will create a vacuum enabling easy removal of the release liner. Spray the back of the vinyl with more Rapidtack then flip the vinyl over. As previously explained work the fluid from the centre out. For large area’s, i use a screen printing squeegee – good results every time.
