MemberApril 26, 2006 at 11:51 am in reply to: have trouble putting applying material to truck tailgateI am using oracal 751 colored vinyl. Did a cut contour on it. The graphic is about the size of the tailgate, but its not a solid piece. there are places where it is cut out. It is going on a newer Toyota Tundra tailgate. It is mostly flat but has alittle contour to it. I hope this helps.

Thanks you for your advise, Andrew, John, and Dave…I was hoping I could do it without the eye 1. The company I work for won’t pay for it unless they think they will need it in the future. Right now we just started up, so I will have to wait on trying to do media profiles..
Thanks,

MemberApril 9, 2006 at 1:27 am in reply to: can anyone advise why i cannot fine-cut with plotter?the letters are about 1/4 inch tall or so. maybe alittle bit smaller or a bit bigger. This is real small letter I think. Or is it. Do I have the right blade for this type of cut. or do I need a different blade. I am trying to cut into oracal, 3m material some have laminate on it and some do not.
Thanks for your help Dave a Stuart

I was wanting to know what would be a good way to apply this material on a truck. I’m using this material for graphics on a truck. Should I mask it off or not. would it be better to put it on wet or dry.
I am a newcomer to this industry and need all the help I can get. I am doing little stuff so I can get the hang of putting graphics on then I want to get into vehicle wrapping. I think this would be a good start. Or I hope it will be.

MemberApril 7, 2006 at 1:55 pm in reply to: Whats the cost of t-shirt vinyl compared to sign vinyl?I saw this posting and was wanting to know what T-Shirt vinyl is. Is it like heat transfer material, or is it differnet than that. I am new to this industry and trying to learn the industry and learn how to use this forum. So, bare with me on this.
Thanks,

I was wondering if I can use this material on vehicles or not. I am not sure and would like to use this if all possible. If I can’t can you give me a couple of materials I can use.
Thanks,
